Great Hotel!!!
By ,
I had read some of the reviews for this hotel and I was a little hesitant about staying here. The price was great, I got booked for 3 nights on the hotels website and got the 3rd night for free. It is an older hotel and it doesn't have an elevator and they keys are literally keys. Check in was simple and pain less. I asked for a room on the 3rd floor because I didn't want people running above my room and I wanted a great view of the Space Needle. You can see the Space Needle and Key Arena from my room which was very cool. The room looked clean and it was somewhat nicer than I expected. It was small but it was great for just one person. The closet is big and comes with iron and ironing board. The bathroom is small too but the floors, sink, toilet, and shower were clean so I was pleased with that. The mini kitchen was nice and came with a mini fridge, microwave, sink, and 2 stove top burners. The cabinets had a few dishes for you to use but I would recommend washing them because it's just common sense. Now for the bad things...not all the windows open which is a pain when you want to let some air in the room. The furnace is a little complicated to use and doesn't really provide too much heat. There is an AC unit in the room but it is not plugged in and when I tried to plug in the 3 prong cord it wouldn't go in the outlet cause it was painted over. The kitchen floor had some burned mark near the mini fridge but it wasn't a deal breaker. The shower wasn't that pleasant at all. Either I am super tall or the shower head isn't high enough. I am 6'0 and the shower head came up to my collar bone so showering was sort of difficult. The water pressure was horrible. The water pressure would be decent enough and mid way through my showers it would drop and it was like running kinked hose. The hotel doesn't have an elevator so it's kind of a pain but I'm in enough shape to manage the stairs. Not enough plugs in the room for my laptop and phone charger. The staff was very friendly. There are so many options for eating in the area. I would recommend visiting the safeway store down the street if you're in the need for some snacks to eat in your room. Since you are so close to the Seattle Center you will hear some noise from time to time but it isn't a deal breaker for me. I would recommend this hotel for anyone on a budget and if you don't have a car to get around in.

Great Night before the Cruise
By ,
Wonderful stay. We loved this place and feel sorry for the negative reviews. Yes it is old and that makes it wonderful. The neighborhood is fantastic. More resturants of every style. The market across the street is worth the visit just to walk through. The plantings and garden area was cozy and beautiful. Nice little kitchen with everything you need. Cost was good, sevice perfect and bed the best.

Great Surprise
By ,
Were a little tentative trying this hotel after reading some of the reviews on this site but we are adventurous at heart. We were pleasantly surprised. Although old, this hotel has all the amenities needed (cooking, location, safety, etc). Just looking for low cost place in Seattle, and found the Inn at Queen Anne. What a great surprise! The staff was efficient and friendly. The room was clean and well appointed. This hotel is not new but if you appreciate the ‘charm’ of older well maintained buildings, this is it. Loved the radiator heat system (perfect for drying out wet clothes and shoes after a typical winter day in Seattle). Also loved the Tiffany style lighting. The interior courtyard garden setting at the entrance was very well thought out and laid out creating a beautiful palate of colors and textures even in a winter setting. Very close (walking distance) to city center and many other amenities. The hotel is quiet but the neighborhood can be noisy on weekend nights (so closed to a lot of activities). As for the 'brown' water - that is quite normal when using radiator heat - - - Live a little.

Take your time and go somewhere else
By ,
There's a reason the I@QA website shows no complete photo of any of their rooms. We got a room smaller than anything you'd find at a travelodge (for 3x more, of course)...the bathroom door didn't work (latch broken) the baseboards were lifted up, the windows were single-pane wooden lift-ups (even on the bottom floors) and the ceiling had water damage. The room probably had its last maintenace call just after WWII. Not worth the money. If planning to stay in downtown Seattle, find somewhere else. Do not be deceived - you will not find any 'character' atmosphere on the inside.

Great value and service!
By ,
After reading some reviews I was a little skeptical of staying here; However, this is truly a charming, clean place with great service. Some reviews speak of no A/C, hot water, and noise problems, but our room had A/C and no problems. I highly recommend staying here. They even called a taxi for us at 4 am. Will definately stay here again. Kudos to Ashleigh!

Unforgettable stay!
By ,
I was taking a cruise to Alaska, and wanted to stay three days in Seattle to see main attractions. At this time I was a solo traveller, so I was somewhat anxious. I got there May 4th at 10 pm. Front desk was very efficient and customer oriented. Its true its an old structure as some reviews state. The carpet needs some upgrading but this is nothing if you weigh other factors such as location-I loved the neighborhood, cleanliness, service. Managers, front desk, maintenance staff and hotel shuttle driver were all very courteous, helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast was more than expected. The location of the breakfast is a bit uncomfortable, but overall definitely if you are looking for a clean, safe and unexpensive place to stay this is the place.

You get what you pay for!!
By ,
It was an awful experience! The front desk girl was with her girlfriend outside and rushed in to check me in and then her girlfriend came in and was waiting behind me... as if I was impeding on their time! When we came back from their parking lot, which is a block away, she was outside again with her girlfriend. The website is very deceiving; it leads you to believe (via description and carefully posed photos) that it's similar to a B&B... NOT!! It's more like a hostel. A stay at the local Motel 6 would have been a step up. The room was incredibly small and the furniture was old and rundown. The tv was older and the channels didn't come through very well. The shower was scary... the walls had holes in it and you could see nothing but black.... I'm still cringing. There are no elevators and only a few rooms have air conditioning. Regarding the wi-fi... it's barely functioning. I had to hook my phone up to the computer to actually use the internet. Otherwise, I'd still be waiting for my email to load up. If you want true customer service, then book through them; because if you book through the internet, they are unable to help you. Case in point... when we walked in the room, we were met with a wall of heat and only a ceiling fan. In calling them, I was informed that the website clearly states that not all of the rooms have air conditioning (I just looked and that's not true. It only states that they don't have an elevator) and since we booked through the internet, if we wanted to go to another hotel, then we'd have to go through the company we booked through. Yeah, right! (ever try to call one of them?) The sad thing was that when I booked this I had actually called the hotel and asked them if we should book through them or the internet and I was advised to go through the internet! So we had to open all the windows (which did not have screens) and wait for night to fall for the room to cool off and what joy we had when all the flys decided to come in and play! And don't bother asking for a regular fan, because they don't have them. From beginning to end, this was a horrible experience. Location is not always what's it's about.

Would not go back
By ,
Liked the location. However the facility is very old with creaky/noisy floors. Also the carpets are in terrible shape. The worst part is the hot water for showers which fluctuates all the time. We were in the third floor and had the water pressure go down to almost nothing at times which is extremely annoying when you are taking a shower. Breakfast facility is cramped and inconveniently located.

good value, nice folks
By ,
this place was perfect for a solo traveler, or couple, the staff is really nice and professional. It is a vintage hotel, which means older rooms with thin walls. Bring earplugs. Good value.
