Most comfortable bed we ever slept in !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/03/09
Stayed one night on Saturday as planned.. We had a nice clean room. Everything worked fine. Most comfortable bed we have ever slept in ...period ! Single King In the heart of the action of Folsom. Plenty of places to eat, drink and be merry ! We did not see any offerings or information on any complementary beverages or snacks or even a continental breakfast... even motel 6 has free coffee... So that was a bummer.. They have a full restaurant, but we just would have liked some coffee and a doughnut or muffin or something...to get us on our way in the morning...

GREAT PLACE TO STAY !!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/01/09
I agree the rooms are a little expensive for the quality they provide, but the rooms are still nice, they may not overlook the river in every room, but some do, you just have to ask for that type of room. The best thing about this hotel is that it is in the heart of the liveliest part of Folsom. Walk out your hotel room and instantly you are in beautiful historic Folsom, there is a great Mexican restaurant next to the hotel called Q'bolla and if you leave the hotel, cross the street, and walk 1 block to Sutter street, you will find the best pizza you will ever eat, Chicago Fife, as well as other great restaurants and bars/clubs that have some of the biggest hot spots in the Sacramento area. If you want to stay at a place that offers an easy walk to a great night life and outstanding food, without risking DUI this is the best possible spot :) "one more thing "ROOM SERVICE IS FOR LAZY IS DOG FOOD COMPARED TO SUTTER STREET"

The worst!
By Mr. Smith, 10/17/08
I had a law enforcement discount and paid $111 for a $118 room. Was told in the morning that I couldnt have coffee in the morning because I didnt pay the full $118.00. The place was noisy all night, my room wasnt ready yet, so they reassigned me to another room. The TV remote didnt work, the bathroom fan didnt work (fogged up), Elevators showed expired permits!!! The clerks couldnt care less...

Very Disapointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/15/06
We were very disapointed in our stay here. The service was horrible, when booking our stay we were told one thing then once there were told something else & got charged additional fees. The beds were old with the springs felt all night long. We had my daughters wedding here and that just added further to our disapointment in their services. When you spend ouver 10k on a wedding you expect them to live up to what they promised and again were told one thing and at the last minute found out differently and we had to run around frantically trying to make our own arrangements. This is one place I will not only never recommend to anyone but will never stay at again.

Better places elsewhere
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/12/06
Business travelers stay away. If all you need is a bed and a shower, this will do. I ended up with a musty 2nd floor hallway and a musty bathroom. Also, no food service in the evenings.

NOT HAPPY
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/05/05
i reserved a room to attend a concert. the concert was canceled. i called to cancel my room because of the situation.there was only one room available left that night. And you would not refund me for my room.my situation was not in my control. you should have a little more compassion for situations out of control by the customer.

dishonest, at best
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/07/05
Our wedding had been booked for over 6 months. We had been told about all the beautiful flowers to be planted in the Spring. About 1 month before the wedding, I went to the site to check on the plantings. Dirt and stickers is what I found. I had to fight to get some flowers planted and even then, they did not plant them, they just moved some flower pots around to try to hide the dirt/stickers. They never did cover the dirt and acted as if I was asking for miracles to get them to do what they stated they would do. 2 days prior to our wedding date, the coordinator called to say there was another wedding booked for the same day, 20 minutes before our ceremony. Our guests would have to wait in a room while the other wedding took place. We were promised no charge for the ceremony site, in lieu of the HUGE inconvenience they had caused - there was no credit ever given. We were told all food from the buffet would be boxed and saved for us. After the reception, I asked for the food and I was told it was all thrown away. The excuse was we had not signed a waiver for food safety. We were never informed of any waiver, nor was it offered for signature. The chair covers ($5 each) appeared to have been taken out of the laundry bag just minutes before the reception. The wedding started late because of the ceremony over-booking. We were putting decorations on the altar minutes before the bride entered. After the ceremony, during wedding party photos, the next ceremony was scheduled to start, so we were asked to remove our decorations - while we took photos. All very unprofessional practices - the coordinator did a good job of selling the site, but did nothing to make it "as sold". I will tell any bride I know to not trust this place and would advise to stay clear of them.

We would never go back!!
By Francie, 08/18/05
I have been in the event industry for many years and I recently stayed here for my wedding night in July. I am a resident of Folsom but wanted to stay somewhere that reflected the feeling that Folsom gives. I reserved our room 4 months in advance via there website and went to see what type of suite I would be staying in 2 months prior to make my final decision. Upon arrival, I told them my concern and wanted to see the room I'd be staying in, they checked my last name and had the wedding coordinator escort me to see the room I would be staying in. I was pleased with the suite, it was the two room suite and she went on and on about how my bridesmaids and me would have plenty of room to get ready. The day of my wedding... not only was it hard to check in but when entering my suite, I was given a completley different suite then promised. It was like a switch and bait tactic. I expressed my concern and the mangement did nothing at all to help the situation, at this point I was a fuming bride. They really could of cared less. The mini suite I was given was way to small for me and my girls to get ready and so I had to go to my other friends rooms who had 2 together and quickly get ready there. What a dissapointment. Never would I waste my money on this hotel. The view was not of the water either, just trees. Very generic, very.
