Worst experience ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/15/11
We wanted a nice quiet romantic weekend away and landed in the middle of what looked like spring break. Loud tv's in the rooms next to us, yelling, partying....We changed rooms around midnight but decided to leave around 1 am....my wife is 7 months pregnant so this was NOT a nice experience. Our weekend was ruiened. And they made us pay full price well knowing that it was prom night and that the hotel was booked with high school kids partying through the night. I observed drugs and alcohol in those rooms with minors, reported it but nothing was done by management. Absolutely unacceptable. I will NEVER stay there again.

OVERCHARGED!!! : (
I booked a two night stay via the telephone and was told the price for the room... when we checked and I signed the card we did not discuss the charges as I had booked the room only 2 hours prior and was told the price for 2 nights. We stayed the two nights and were charged for everything, fire logs, water, ... even the music!!! Had to ask for extra towels 3 times. The room was not clean and the jet tub had mold/black stuff coming from the jets. It was not a great room and the bed was not that comfortable. I got sick during our two night stay with stomach flu (I wondered if it was the mold from the tub?), so we used the check out in the room... the price was totally different than what I was told via the phone. It was double... the room was 250.00 per night - not for 2 nights, plus all the extra charges. It was around 600.00 of charges to our card. Unbelievable... I contacted the Inn and file a complaint with my credit card. The card was unable to take off the charges because I had signed when we came in... but again they did not share the total charges. I complained to the manager and was given a discount rate for a cheap room in the future. I would never stay at the Inn again! Very disappointed and way tooo expensive.

Very average
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/17/10
1. Towels felt like sandpaper. Need to be replaced. 2. Walls are paper thin; can hear everything next door. (Don't get room near elevator.) 3. Ask where room is located on floor; one side of building is a very, very long walk from elevators. 4. There are no first-floor rooms. 5. Restaurant only open for breakfast. 6. Hotel not "accessible" (for physically impaired). 7. Comfortable mattress. 8. Powerful A/C 9. Responsive front desk. 10. Walk to old town Folsom. (Must go to Sutter Street Grill for breakfast!) 11. Spacious bathroom. 12. Not close to Rt. 50; about 3.5 miles away. But not far from Folsom retail shopping.

Most comfortable bed we ever slept in !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/3/09
Stayed one night on Saturday as planned.. We had a nice clean room. Everything worked fine. Most comfortable bed we have ever slept in ...period ! Single King In the heart of the action of Folsom. Plenty of places to eat, drink and be merry ! We did not see any offerings or information on any complementary beverages or snacks or even a continental breakfast... even motel 6 has free coffee... So that was a bummer.. They have a full restaurant, but we just would have liked some coffee and a doughnut or muffin or something...to get us on our way in the morning...

GREAT PLACE TO STAY !!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/1/09
I agree the rooms are a little expensive for the quality they provide, but the rooms are still nice, they may not overlook the river in every room, but some do, you just have to ask for that type of room. The best thing about this hotel is that it is in the heart of the liveliest part of Folsom. Walk out your hotel room and instantly you are in beautiful historic Folsom, there is a great Mexican restaurant next to the hotel called Q'bolla and if you leave the hotel, cross the street, and walk 1 block to Sutter street, you will find the best pizza you will ever eat, Chicago Fife, as well as other great restaurants and bars/clubs that have some of the biggest hot spots in the Sacramento area. If you want to stay at a place that offers an easy walk to a great night life and outstanding food, without risking DUI this is the best possible spot :) "one more thing "ROOM SERVICE IS FOR LAZY IS DOG FOOD COMPARED TO SUTTER STREET"

The worst!
By RETIRED COP, 10/17/08
I had a law enforcement discount and paid $111 for a $118 room. Was told in the morning that I couldnt have coffee in the morning because I didnt pay the full $118.00. The place was noisy all night, my room wasnt ready yet, so they reassigned me to another room. The TV remote didnt work, the bathroom fan didnt work (fogged up), Elevators showed expired permits!!! The clerks couldnt care less...

Very Disapointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/15/06
We were very disapointed in our stay here. The service was horrible, when booking our stay we were told one thing then once there were told something else & got charged additional fees. The beds were old with the springs felt all night long. We had my daughters wedding here and that just added further to our disapointment in their services. When you spend ouver 10k on a wedding you expect them to live up to what they promised and again were told one thing and at the last minute found out differently and we had to run around frantically trying to make our own arrangements. This is one place I will not only never recommend to anyone but will never stay at again.

Better places elsewhere
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/12/06
Business travelers stay away. If all you need is a bed and a shower, this will do. I ended up with a musty 2nd floor hallway and a musty bathroom. Also, no food service in the evenings.

NOT HAPPY
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/5/05
i reserved a room to attend a concert. the concert was canceled. i called to cancel my room because of the situation.there was only one room available left that night. And you would not refund me for my room.my situation was not in my control. you should have a little more compassion for situations out of control by the customer.

dishonest, at best
By Sandy, 11/7/05
Our wedding had been booked for over 6 months. We had been told about all the beautiful flowers to be planted in the Spring. About 1 month before the wedding, I went to the site to check on the plantings. Dirt and stickers is what I found. I had to fight to get some flowers planted and even then, they did not plant them, they just moved some flower pots around to try to hide the dirt/stickers. They never did cover the dirt and acted as if I was asking for miracles to get them to do what they stated they would do. 2 days prior to our wedding date, the coordinator called to say there was another wedding booked for the same day, 20 minutes before our ceremony. Our guests would have to wait in a room while the other wedding took place. We were promised no charge for the ceremony site, in lieu of the HUGE inconvenience they had caused - there was no credit ever given. We were told all food from the buffet would be boxed and saved for us. After the reception, I asked for the food and I was told it was all thrown away. The excuse was we had not signed a waiver for food safety. We were never informed of any waiver, nor was it offered for signature. The chair covers ($5 each) appeared to have been taken out of the laundry bag just minutes before the reception. The wedding started late because of the ceremony over-booking. We were putting decorations on the altar minutes before the bride entered. After the ceremony, during wedding party photos, the next ceremony was scheduled to start, so we were asked to remove our decorations - while we took photos. All very unprofessional practices - the coordinator did a good job of selling the site, but did nothing to make it "as sold". I will tell any bride I know to not trust this place and would advise to stay clear of them.
