Smelly room

I asked for a non-smoking room and when I got to the room the odor was terrible!! I had to get Febreeze out of my vehicle and spray the place down. The carpet did not appear to be recently vaccumed, fridge did not work, and one of the bathroom lights did not work. The knobs on the air conditioner were broken so was unable to regulate air. The desk lady said she was giving me a 'deal'. Said she was giving me the price that she usually charged for 2 people and I would have the room to myself. UH? What was that suppose to mean? If I had not been so tired from traveling, I would have got my money back and looked for another place to stay. Will not stay at this motel again.

Ok but could be better

We got to the hotel at 1 AM and they didn't have the room we requested and paid for ready. Took 3 hours to clean a room for us the next day (door was standing open but not cleaned). When cleaned was very nice.
Asked for a roll-away bed - never got it.
Asked for an extra pillow - they didn't have any (they were on order).
No extra towels - only 3 (for 2 adults/3 small kids).
Pool was not open the entire weekend.
Lack of Service (had a youngster working the desk that didn't seem to understand what you were asking for or saying) Although the adult (possibly owner) was very nice and apologetic.
