A lot of money to sit sideways
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/8/07
We paid $1000 for a 2 night stay in a jacuzzi suite. There are numerous problems with the efficiency of the staff, the design of the room and even the reliability of the internet.
First, $1000 for the room. I think maybe we were expecting more of a room and more of a view. They built the FallsView Casino right smack in the middle of the view from the Hilton. So you have American Falls to the left and Canadian (somewhat obstructed) to the right and the Casino right smack in the middle.
The room itself wasn't too large and the amenities were very average.
The design of the room was atrocious. Not making this up. If you are over six feet tall, you will have trouble sitting on the toilet. The amount of room between the toilet and the shower stall is a foot. I'm 6 foot four, sat sideways. And the jacuzzi takes up half the bathroom, but, and get this, the wall is made of shutters that easily open on their own. So when you are sitting sideways on the bowl, guess what? That's right, kids, the shutters open on their own. Wave to your guests! Come see the freak on the bowl!
OK, once you get past the bathroom, it's time to connect to the internet. Well it doesn't work. They switched my room, still didn't work. They gave me an ethernet cable and said plug it into the wall, still didn't work. Had to go to the lobby to make a connection. Hey, while you're down there, check out the men's room, because there you can sit on the bowl, relax a bit, and think about why the heck you're paying $1000 to sit sideways.
