Ramada Wilshire Center, Los Angeles

Think I'm joking? Stay here find out for yourself. This hotel is DISGUSTING. It stinks from filth and they try to cover it up with gallons of cheap carpet fresh, unsuccessfully I might add. Decent place to bring a hooker. Not so much pregnant wife. I should have spent the $50 bucks more and stayed at the Standard Hotel Downtown.

I booked a block of rooms for my wedding guests at this Ramada. When my guests would call and try to reserve a room, the hotel staff turned away my actual guests who were coming to the wedding by telling them that they had either not heard of the block of rooms reserved or they should book through the internet. When my guests tried to book through the internet, there were no rooms available. I was then charged for about 30 empty rooms. I find this unacceptable and fraudulent. Do not trust this hotel with your money. The guests who stayed there were not happy with the customer service either.

Read all the reviews before you book your stay at this hotel. It is a bad place and the other people who left the reviews are telling the truth. The room was infested with ants and spiders. Who knows what was crawling under the carpet. The room was on the 4th floor with bugs which means the entire facility is infested. Who wants bugs crawling on them during the night in bed??? Yuck. Who wants to bring bugs home with them in their luggage? The customer service at the hotel isn't great and I called Ramada's customer serivce which is bad too. They said they would call me back within 7 days and never did. I finally called them and they offered me a $25 gift certificate. What an insult! Luckily, I was able to check out and get a refund shortly after my arrival. We had to walk 5 blocks to find another hotel that was decent. Nice vacation right? I was expecting all of this after a 5 1/2 hour flight from Jersey. DON"T STAY HERE! DON"T STAY AT ANY RAMADA. The company is not customer service oriented.

This was not a 3 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. The room was smelly and felt dirty. The bathroom sink did not drain and there was no hot water. When asked about this at the front desk, we were told "the whole system blew" and a plumber was working on it. Curious about this, we looked for a plumber or maintenance person, which of course, there was no one around. We were unable to take a hot shower. Since there is a restaurant associated with the hotel, I looked on the LA County website which rates/oversees restaurants. There are numerous violations, from cockroaches to inadequate temperature of the food. This was a nightmare! I don't know who gave this hotel three-stars, but it sure makes you wonder how the owner/manager gets away with no hot water, obviously lots of complaints, maybe even unsafe conditions. No continental breakfast, as advertised. No internet connection working. Services promised are just not delivered.

The room was clean and spacious and the hotel was well located. There were no great views, no pool, no workout facility, and the breakfast was just adequate. However, the price was exceptional and the parking was secure and included in the price.

My friend and I booked a standard room with double beds through yahoo travel. The hotel looked old and dirty when we first saw it and it is located in a relatively poor neighborhood (we paid $85 per night). It is conveniently located in the middle of all attractions. The night we arrived, front desk agent placed us in a smoking room even though we didn't want one because there were no other rooms available. The walls were thin so we could hear our neighbor talking and laughing until late in the morning. Worst part was that my friend got some kind of flea and bug bites sleeping on the bed. I thought he was paranoid until he showed me the bug bites the second day. It was the worst experience ever. The hotel manager refused to do anything about it because we booked it through yahoo travel.

First off, you can't park Anywhere near the hotel to check in. The area availiable is a dead end garage that allows either one car in or one car Out at a time. The service was poor, the rooms were weak. The parking garage was something out of a horror movie. The breakfast served was comical.. The hotel served Broke Up pieces of donughts. They look like a box of Halfs that no one wanted. The rest of the breakfast was alright. Hope you like Poppy Seed Bagels, because that's all they served. I was informed Once I checked in that I had to pay an Extra 5 bucks to park in their garage. Oh yeah, the garage has a gate that lifts Outward toward your car so be prepared to back up once you input the code. Stay away from this hotel. It was my fault that I didn't do further research before purchasing.

My wife and her friend stayed here recently and were threatned by the manager of the hotel. They were so sacred of the guy they didnt go to the car to get their luggage. They checked out th next day in fear of him, (they were meant to stay 2 night), they talked to one of the room cleaners the next day as they left and they said he was an explosiver person and that this was not the first time.. We complained to Ramada to be told its a franchise and the only way to try and fix it is to send the manager of the hotel our home phone and address to have it resolved. Instead of being worried about this guy having our personal details we have just decided to never stay at a Ramada again. Really please dont stay here its not worth it...

As an avid traveler, I'm always looking for a good deal with my hotels. The staff was very friendly and very helpful with check-in and check-out. Definitely not your high-end type of hotel, but the room was clean and comfortable, and worth the price. Location is very convenient, as the bus stop and the red line subway stop are just down the road.

They didn't even want to give toilet paper, told us to use napkins. They are rude, don't speak english, and don't care about customer service. They need to be removed from the Ramada chain.
