Aspen Street Inn Bed And Breakfast, Telluride

To clarify, as we had to do when we arrived in Telluride, The San Sophia was the name of the bed and breakfast owned and operated by SilverStar Property management. They sold the building a couple of years ago but they kept the name for a collection of condos that they manage. The San Sophia Inn (bed and breakfast) is no longer. But that didn't affect our experience! When we booked we knew we were getting a condo. First and foremost, Telluride is a must for anyone wanting the most incredible mountain experience in the US. We visited in August and had a fabulous time, fishing, hiking, exploring the history, shopping and basking in the gorgeous blue sky and sunshine of this place. So, if you are going to visit Telluride you really must book your stay with these guys, SilverStar Property management (who has the San Sophia condominiums). We had called ahead before our arrival to clarify what we were getting, where we were going and where our condo was located. We had really helpful service -- they gave us perfect driving directions. Everyone we encountered at SilverStar (San Sophia) was so friendly. The best! And the condo we stayed in was super comfortable, completely outfitted with everything we needed -- full kitchen, washer/dryer, etc. and was a great value. I would definitely recommend SilverStar (San Sophia) to anyone planning a trip to Telluride. We're going back again in the winter and you can bet we'll be calling SilverStar.

We booked a unit at the Tristant Villas in Mountain Village. It was absolutely beautiful with great views and plenty of room. The staff was also really helpful - they suggested trying the kids pond for fishing for our 9 year old. He had a lot of fun - even caught 4 fish. Favorite restaurants were Hongas and Cosmo. Lunch was good at Corner House. We'll be back

Be warned, these guys are crooks. We booked a condo in Telluride based upon the reviews of the "San Sophia Luxury Condominiums" and the other information provided by the property manager (SilverStar Signature Properties). However, upon checking in we discovered the following, each of which directly contradicts the representations of SilverStar: 1 - SilverStar no longer owns the San Sophia Luxury Condominiums, but claim they still have the right to use photos and reviews of the San Sophia property to sell their other properties. 2 - Our condo had NO AIR CONDITIONING and was over 90 degrees inside when we arrived. It stayed well above 80 degrees all night and made for one MISERABLE night's sleep. 3 - There was NO breakfast, NO happy hour, the room was NOT CLEAN, it smelled bad, it looked NOTHING like the property/room photos that we looked at when we booked, and it was located some 50 miles from the city we originally wanted to stay in (Ouray), rather than 9 miles as represented by SilverStar. 4 - No one was at SilverStar when we arrived and no one was available to answer the phone that entire night. 5 - After finally reaching SilverStar to explain the situation, they refused to issue a refund and claimed that they owned the reviews of the San Sophia and had every right to use them to market any of its other properties. What they are doing is like using reviews of the Four Seasons to sell a Motel 6. Bottom line? If you see "San Sophia" or SilverStar in Telluride, RUN.

We have been to the San Sophia multiple times. Sometimes it is a quiet romantic weekend, sometimes a family vacation. The staff is most accommodating and friendly. Location is perfect for the gondola or easy access to the lift. The room and property are always well kept . The food is wonderful-although it is not always pleasing to the simplicity of the kid's palette! The B & B is quiet and set away from the main nightlife, yet still close enough to walk to restaurants or village. Definitely worth the visit!

My wife and I stayed at the San Sophia Inn during the Telluride Wine Festival and we have nothing but good things to say for the whole weekend. The staff @ the Inn was very helpful with hiking and dining recomendations. The breakfast each morning was great - definatly not you ordinary contenential breakfast - pancakes, waffles, eggs, fruit. And the afternoon reception on the deck was a great way to relax. The rooms were nice with very commfortable bedding and the location could not be better. The Inn is in the center of town - we didn't even get in our car while in town. The Wine Festival was also alot of fun. We only went to the Saturday tasting, but would have liked to have done more.
