Worst experience in a hotel to date!

We booked a 3 night stay while we were in town for PINKS and basically our room was ok. The bathroom had a terrible urine smell and was very small...the stool got plugged twice. While we were at the races on Friday $100 in cash was taken from our room. This cash was inside a zipped pocket on a backpack that was sitting in the corner. behind a table! We reported the cash missing at 7 am on Saturday and did not get action until almost 9 pm which was a paper that the hotel has guest fill out for injuries. The man at the desk when we reported it and check out was very rude and little help. I had to beg for a credit card reciept when checking out. He said he couldn't give one?? I would not stay at this motel unless you have no other choice. It's old, smells, has a crapy breakfast, and a robber or two on staff!

IYou could not pay me to stay here again!

II had to look at three rooms before they could should me one that did not reek of animal (I think ) urine. Room's furnishings are worn but at least the bathroom was mold free. Only one working light fixture in the entire room and the a/c barely kept the room cool on max at 77 degrees outside.

no hbo have had rooms with mold in the bath room manager is very slow on returning phone calls bed spreads look old and worn out doors dont dont close/lock behind you

Nice stay

Stayed two nights while attending a function in Topeka. Pet-friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable bed, hard to get to motel at first due to construction, reasonable rates. Would stay there again if in Topeka.

Dishonest Manager and terrible stay

As a member of Choice privileges you are entitled to late checkout. When I requested this at this hotel the manager said this was not available at her hotel. After making calls to their customer relations department they said it was not true and said they would work to resolve my complaint. After following up several times they said they were not able to get the manager to respond. If all this wasn’t enough they gave me the room right next to the breakfast area with what appeared to have zero sound proofing. I could hear what every person had to eat all morning. All in all a poor experience and I would NEVER stay in this hotel again. In fact I have given up Choice hotels all together as they cannot even get a local manager to admit lying or even respond to a complaint.

Clean and comfortable

It is off 70 a few blocks, but well worth the drive. The rooms were clean and quiet. The breakfast was good with a normal variety of fruit, boiled eggs, cereal and baked goods. The AARP price was a good value for us. We would definitely return.

Friendly helpful staff

Nice, clean convenient hotel with a friendly staff. Excellent value for your money. A good continental breakfast and newspaper available. Internet service is available. Overall excellent place for an overnight stay.

Excellent Place To Stay

I loved the Comfort Inn at 1518 Wanamaker. I've traneled all of my life and I've seen the different hotels that they offer. I must say that the Comfort Inn has been the nicest I've seen around. The beds are awesome, the service prompt and curtious. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Comfort Inn was clean, well run and the food, and ammenities were great.
