Sarova Shaba Game Lodge, Shaba National Reserve

Sarova Shaba is a great short-stop hotel for those on a central Kenya safari with a wonderful, refreshing pool! The staff was wonderful, friendly, and responsive. The food was fantastic. Rooms are spacious, clean and nice, but no A/C. It may be HOT during the day, but it gets cool at night, and the ceiling fans do a good job keeping you cool. Sarova Shaba Lodge lacks quality evening entertainment, but it can't be blamed for that since it is located in a remote game park! You have access to 3 game parks from Shaba Lodge: Shaba, Samburu, and Buffalo Springs. Lots of history in the area too with the story of Joy Adamson and her lions! Try swimming in the old bomb crater in Buffalo Springs Park!
