Dirty and Disgusting!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/19/11
This was the dirtiest hotel my family has ever stayed in! We checked in our first Suite @ 12:15 am, pulled down the covers and there was a clump of human hair in one bed. We called the front desk to ask for housekeeping and of course they were gone so we had to change rooms. The next room seemed a little cleaner, not much, there was hair on the tile floor as we walked in the room, in the handle of the fridge were large cracker crumbs. The next day we had to change rooms again, there was a dead bug in the bed. The next room was a little cleaner, no hairs or bugs in the beds. It did have a dead bug in the corner, a spider web in another corner, rust in the tub, frig leg was broke so it tipped when opened. Ice machines were out of order on 3 floors (the hotel has 6 floors total). The front dest staff didn't know where to get ice when we asked, we had to find out ourselves. Breakfast is over @ 10:00am and will turn lights out on you if you are eating past 10:00am, VERY RUDE!!! Pool is very small and very cold. We will NEVER EVER stay here again, it was so filthy and gross!!!!

What a facelift!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/19/09
The hotel was under renovations, we stayed in a suite on one of the "new" floors. The hotel was spotless, unlike others I usually travel to, it even smelled clean!! The staff was great, always available to help, someone even helped grab bags from my wife. The pool was refreshing, I was told by one of the managers there that it was just re-done, amazing! You must try the new cedar sauna as well! Great amenities for the price!! A true diamond in the rough.

1 star hotel
By mike m, 6/16/07
The room was dirty. No toiletpaper an empty donut box under the table and chocolate candy on the floor by the bed. We won't stay there again.

Super nice hotel
By Jim S, 4/4/07
I did my homework before I booked the hotel.I looked at several hotels and the reviews and this one lived up tp its review and surpassed. It is only a couple of miles from airport and conveinent to Harrisburg and Hershey, which were two of our main travel options.I was well pleased with the price and hospitality. The staff was very helpful and courteous. We had a suite and it was very roomy and the beds were super comfortabe,I wish I had one at home.We are planning a trip back in August and will definately stay again.

Good Value and What I needed
By Teresa, 11/29/06
I had to be in the Harrisburg area for 5 nights at Thanksgiving. I was traveling with 2 teenagers and very much needed 3 separate sleeping areas. I found several hotels with suites and microwave/refrigerators, but they were much higher than the Best Western. I booked this hotel because it had what I needed and was at a price I could afford. After reading some of the reviews on this site, I had some apprehensions, but was very pleased with my stay. Yes, the facilities are older than some - but all my needs were met. I have had better continental breakfasts, but I have also had worse at higher priced hotels. The room was cleaned in a timely manner each day, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was convienent to both Hershey and Camp Hill (the two areas I had to travel between). Since I am in this area at least twice a year, I am glad to have found a reasonably priced hotel in a safe area.

Dirty
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/16/06
The hotel is dated and dirty. The staff is pleasant and helpful, but it's hard to get a good night's sleep in a dirty place. I'd rather pay a little more to find a cleaner room. I don't care how dated a place is, but cleaninless is always important. Invest in the right tools for your staff and i bet it improves

Middletown-middle of the road experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/27/06
We took a suite for 4 days with our kids...was not too far from Hershey or Amish Country...right off the highway...queen size beds... fridge and microwave came in helpful...room was clean...pool was over chlorinated, but lots of towels available....two computers in lobby for internet use....only one was working the whole time we were there...must be due to typical lousy service from DELL...only real complaint were the breakfasts- they were awful....bread was dried out or day old - only edible by toasting, long lineup to toaster...premium breakfast of eggs and sausages/bacon at $ 6.95 was horrible - scrambled powder eggs which was smothered in pepper....

Clean, comfortable and friendly
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/7/06
Given the price and the proximity to the Intersate, this was a good hotel. It is one of the least expensive in harrisburg, yet it was comfortable, safe, and sat right by the freeway. I reccomend it for people passing through to other places.

Average, Pool Dated,
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/2/06
You get what you pay for. While rooms were nice, the hotel is out of the way and didn't have anything to keep the kids occupied. Closes restaurants were a Taco bell and a Wendy's (misery loves company I suppose). Price was great though: 60 bucks for a suite. Room was clean though my baby did find someone else's hair tie on the floor. Staff was accomodating but the hotel is really just good for a late night stop over on your way to an early morning getaway. Wouldn't recommend for a base to enjoy Hershey, Lancaster, etc. Spend the extra money and go to something more centrally located. Location close to interstate but that's it. Any Good restuarants werefar away. Other Best Western's in better locale. Pool, as others said, is dated, and overly overly chlorinated. Also, water was too cold to enjoy. No spa/hot tub. Arcade was 2 machines.
