Hemingways Watamu, Mombasa

On the 11 Feb 1997 we were married at Turtle Bay but stayed at Hemingways. Truly one of the best privatley owned hotels in the world. From the moment we arrived we were treated as one of the family. Our room, a delux Ocean fronting, was covered in rose petals on the floor and heart shaped on all of the three large beds. Fresh flowers, fruit and Champagne also in the room made us feel very special. Each evening the fresh roses and poetry on our pillows was so romantic. The cleanliness of the room and bathroom was of a high standard and the veiws to die for.The general ambience of Hemingways must be a huge secret and only the staff have the knowledge to supply it, everyone from the gardeners, and their beutiful white smiles, to top Management greeted us as if we were family and maybe their only guest's. The food was fantastic from morning till night and again nothing was ever to much trouble. This was our second stay at Hemingways so we did have some inside knowledge of what to expect, but it is also the reason why I was searching the internet for Hemingways as I wish to take back my wife for our 10th Anniversary in 2007. Were else could I go? It just has to be Hemingways! This review is hard to write as we don't want to many people finding it, but we must not be selfish and if other couples experience what we did I'm sure they will write the same reveiws.
