BEST WESTERN Hotel River, Florence

Definitely was a pleasant place to stay! My room view was great and so was the breakfast! If any of u wanna save money on it tho I'd suggest using SweetHotelDeals. Net They have some really good prices on there!!

Very clean, good breakfast. Do not get a room at the back, ask for a room overlooking the courtyard or the front with a balcony. A long walk into Florence unless you are fit. Buses into Florence run quite frequently and are quite close by.

We stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights on a church sponsored trip and my son and I thought it was one of the best. The staff was extremely hospitable, the location along the river was great and the rooms were clean. Would definetly stay again.

My daughter and I have just returned from a short break in Florence and we really enjoyed this beautifully clean, friendly hotel on the River Arno about 10 minutes walk from the Uffizzi and the Ponte Vecchio. The rooms were scrupulously clean and fresh. Breakfast was self service style and very pleasant. The reception staff were extremely helpful and polite - a real bonus as it was our first visit to the city. We had to leave very early for our flight the second morning, but an impromptu breakfast was set up for us by the receptionist, and beautiful cappuccino and fresh croissants (which had fortuitously just arrived) were prepared for us. The taxi unfortunately interrupted our enjoyment and we were extremely loathe to leave our new find! It was a real bonus to find such a pleasant place to stay - so unlike the majority of impersonal unfriendly hotels one finds these days and travelling on our own we felt extremely comfortable here.
