First of all, the air conditioner/heating unit was above the door. It had a wall mounted control that was eye level, but it really didnt turn it off or on. Had to reach way way up to the bottons almost to the ceiling that was also the outlet for the ac plug. Then there were only 2 temps for the machine...freeze your buns off or burn your buns. We could have turned it off, but then you hear the outside noise. The worst was when we got back into the room at about 5pm after being gone all day...It was still not cleaned. No bed was made, no clean towels. It wasnt the head house keeper's fault... there had been a staff walkout the Friday before. She was still a maid herself, got drafted to head house keeper with no training, very little back up staff. I gave this room a 2 star, only cause it kept the rain off our heads, and the beds were comfortable.
