terrible customer service
A very disappointing experience! We were forced to pay for a room that we could not use. The receptionist was not apologetic about the situation and basically said it was our problem.
Here�s what happened: My colleague in Germany made the reservation, prepaid, for a double room for my cousin and me. Upon arrival, the receptionist hastily handed the check in form for us to fill out and moved on to help another customer. She was still helping the other customer when we completed our form, so another receptionist helped us with the check in. He took the long time, about 15 minutes, checking us in. We were handed our room key, so off we went. When we opened the door, the room turned out to be single room. Thinking that they simply made a mistake, we went back downstairs to get the room situation straightened out. We spoke to the original receptionist. She simply said they had more single rooms than doubles, and they were out of double rooms. We asked her to refer us to another hotel. Fine, she said, but we would still need to pay for the room that we could not use. It was our choice to stay or go. 15 minutes of pointing out that it was their problem that they could not accommodate us went nowhere. We finally just asked her to refer us to another hotel and we left.
