Room 4125
By ,
Love, love, love this hotel. I stay here 10 times a year but this room adjoins 4127 and we had VERY noisy neighbours. Unless you need adjoining rooms for your family/friends, I recommend avoiding them in this hotel.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! WORST HOTEL IN NYC!
By ,
I just traveled to New York; I have traveled there many times and have stayed in numerous hotels that were WAY better then the Crowne Plaza Times Square! My friend and I booked our reservation 6 months in advance; we arrived at 5 and went up to check in. The hotel was beautiful and jaw dropping but when we went up to the front desk they told us that our room wasn’t ready. We patiently waited for 45 minutes and went up and asked again if our room was ready. They told us that is still wasn’t ready and so we waited for another hour. After getting frustrated our room was finally ready because they were waiting for the towels. We finally went up to our room and it was very beautiful very clean and nice. We decided to stay in for the night, and ordered a movie from the room. A messaged popped up and told us to call the front desk to order the movie which we did, we tried called 8 times and no one ever picked up. Throughout our trip whenever we tried to call the front desk no one every answered. The one time we did get through was to ask where the business center was so we could print out our boarding passes. The front desk said the fourth floor so we went down and used our hotel keys to get in and found out it was 10 dollars for 10 minutes and 1.50 to per page to print. No one was in there to help us so we went ahead and swiped my card; I got everything printed out and went up to my room to finish packing. I looked at my bank account on my phone and saw that they charged my card 3 separate 20 dollar transactions. I went downstairs already a little upset about how neglected all the staff had been and I talked to a manager. I politely told him about the situation and how the front desk has been less then helpful and the first thing out of his mouth was. “you should have been persistent.” And I also told him how their business center took out more money than they should have. He told me that the business center on the fourth floor wasn’t theirs but a private business center and they can’t control what they do and EVERYONE knows where their business center is, I told him how we called and were told it was on the fourth floor and his response was, if you don’t have a name of the employee I can’t do anything about it. He was extremely rude and I never once ever heard an apology, not even a fake apology. They were all horribly rude, and I am shock how high the ratings are. My friend that came with me has a 200 dollar charge to her card for no reason and I still have those three transactions taken out of my card with an overdraft fee now on top of it. The only good things about this hotel were the maids, the bellmen and leaving this horrid hotel. I have had way better service, don’t waste 1400 dollars like I did and have crappy service.

MEMORIAL DAY VACATION
By ,
After reading other peoples' review, I was intrigued on how accurate they were. First, the location was GREAT!!!!. We were very close to Time Square but still far from the noise. Close to Rockerfeller Center and many other things. Very close to the subway entrance to. The hotel is very nice. I never saw it before but I like what it looks like now. I am impress. The front desk was a little slow and there was no line, so you had to pick and hope you did not stand behind somebody who had a problem. Fortunately we picked a fast line. Also, when they mean 3:00 check-in time... they really mean it. We were there 20 minutes prior and said that I room was not ready until 3:00. Really... what could or would need to do in 20 minutes to my room. Oh well.... The rooms were a great size for Manhattan. Got 4 people in each room, no problem. The swimming pool was real nice to. Had a couple of drinks at the bar, and Martin and Kim were great bartenders. Overall, I will definitly stay here again when I visit New York. I must say, I am satisfied.

Great Experience
By ,
This hotel was an oasis in this crazy city. Loved the concierge floor--good breakfast including lox and bagels, mid-day snacks worked well, and well done evening cocktails. I used the restaurant and the pool and both were terrific.

do not waste your money on conceirge
By ,
The hotle overall is just fine, nothing spectacular about it. I booked the conceirge floor and recevied nothing out of the ordinary. Their web site boasts plush robes (there was one hanging in the bathroom), fruit basket (none to be seen) fresh flowers (again, did not have this). The one thing that wa snice was the butler floor lounge for breakfast; the gentlemen were very nice and helpful. The hotel conceirge was terrible. The told us the worng information numerous times making us miss our dinner reservations one night and almost our flight another day. I will NOT choose to stay at this hotle again for those reasons alone.

Loved the location, no complaints!
By ,
We went for just a fun trip, I was afraid the room would be small but it wasn't, we jumped on the subway and went everywhere. we were in the middle of everything in times square. The doubletree was in great location too, looked like a great place. We were on the 28th floor, newly renovated, i would be concerned about air if i were staying in summer, b/c it didn't get cool. It was freezing when we were there so not a problem for us but would be a question to ask about. The conceiere was very helpful! Don't buy broadway tickets thru them, go down to the ticket kisisk(?booth) and they are half price! we saw grease and i am a huge grease fan, it was a little let down but i still loved it. We saw blue man group! we enjoyed but our 2 teens loved it! We ate at ellen's stardust diner, where the waiters sing and it was alot of fun. Crowne plaza was very, very nice!

horrible service
By ,
horrible service. check in was at 3:00...we arrived at 5:00 and were told our room would not be available for another 30 min. no explanation was given and no offer to store our luggage.we were starving and started snacking until security scolded us like little children and told us we couldnt eat in the lobby. an hour had passed and still no room. when our card keys for our room were finally given to us they did not work. when i went back to the desk to tell them they told us "we probably didnt swipe it correctly". when an employee came up to try it not only did it not work for him but there was a man at the room next to us having the same problem. the employee then used a master key to open the door and the room was being occupied by other guests.no courtesy offers were made...oh, im sorry ...a lame cheese and cracker offer was made but NEVER delivered. BOO CROWNE PLAZA!
