The Flagship Resort, Atlantic City

My family and friends came to stay here for a week in two different rooms. Unfortunately, there are just so many more cons than plusses so let's get started with the facts: CONS: 1. Both rooms required maintenance to come up to our rooms from the first night. Heat was not working in one room, and the lightbulbs in the bedroom did not work at all and needed replacement in the other room. Rooms are indeed outdated, blanket gave my little one an asthma attack, had to remove, and just sleep with sheets. The rooms are very dim, and they could use more lighting and outlets just to make it decent. 2. Although they have a pool and hot tub, every single one of us got cut with their razor sharp floor of the pool and hot tub, to the point, my elderly mom was profusely bleeding just from moving to get comfortable in the hot tub, and we were informed that many people have gotten hurt from the hot tub and pool, and yet they have done nothing to change it, and instead of caring about what happened, security came to just have us sign a form saying that we will not hold them liable, which I didn't sign and informed them that they are liable to which they just replied "I know.". 3. I was having internet issues from the first night we got here, and I called about it, yet nothing was done, for 6 days I called continuously every single day and not even a return phone call from the supervisor or any follow up. No internet in the room was a huge negative for us as we were doing work, looking up stuff, etc. It was ridiculous what I had to go through and all the people I called to get someone up here to fix the issue. 4. Customer service is a real dissapointment, they don't even hide the fact that they couldn't care less if you have an issue. It is very frustrating being at a place that has so many issues, and then no one who wants to help with the issues that you do have nor even offer you anything for what you are going through. They are basically like "oh, that is happening, or that happened? Oh well, that's just too bad" 5. Resort Activities are so limited, it's def. not a place for kids, families, or even for older adults. It's just not a place you can enjoy if you decide to stay in the "resort" for a day. We were told management changed and so they stopped many activities, which was such a dissapointment. We are leaving tomorrow and in the end, we would not stay here again and are writing this review to prevent anyone else from going through half of what we went through on our "vacation". Just don't stay here either and you should be fine.

We spent a week there and were chewed up by bedbugs. The security manager told us that they have multiple bedbug reports every week! Disgusting. I spent a week getting bit by BED BUGS!

I booked a room for two nights through "THEIR" online website, however I had to change to one night stay, so I called their hotline and was told that they could not change my reservation (still in time allowed) that I had to go online cancel and rebook. I went online and nights were sold out so I called back and they woman was very nasty and basically told me too bad. I persisted and asked for a supervisor she yelled at me, refused to transfer my call and finally agreed to change the reservation, but said they would charge my card now (a week before when they usually do so at check in) and would I would not be able to cancel. They gave me a problem telling me that I had booked through a third party website - I explained again through their OWN site,and she said that when ever you book with them online it is with a third party. What kind of scam are they running?! Obviously they are lying since after I complained they somehow managed to change the reservation, and they should have to let people know that the site they use is not their own - If i had know I would never have given some other no name company my credit card number! I had to keep reservation, as this was for a large family event - but this is unacceptable and will certainly be my first and last stay with either of their hotels!! I have gotten better service at MacDonalds than their "customer service" department provides! I will stay with a responsible honest company next time!!!

I received a call fom your promotions department. I am very upset. After answering questions and receiving information on what I would receive I was asked if I was married, at that point the person on the line said I didn't qualify. When did being married or having a boyfriend (yes I was also asked that) become a qualifier. I thought that type of prejudice was illegal and at best bad for business.......I am very disappointed in your company..

If you do not wash your own dishes you have to pay $50 fee. They don't tell you this up front. I do not go on vacation to wash dishes. The restaurant is absolutely laughable with the capper being the state sanitary certification that says, "Conditionally Satisfactory". I would agree, we got a stack of bread plates that had not been washed, no kidding, flat out unwashed! The elevators were so slow we took the stairs. Someone got stuck in the elevator and it took over an hour for their maintenance guy to free them. Someone running down the hall screaming, "HELLP. HELLLP." And she wasn't joking. Street fight on the corner between two dudes with weapons. Unbelievable. I'm not making ANY of this up, I promise!! The television was SO grainy and fuzzy that it was almost unwatchable. There were no instructions for getting the DVD player to play out to the TV and it was far not a straightforward thing to do. For one night in a $95/night room my credit card is showing a $210 charge. I called the front desk to find out what is up and they sent me to the "accounting" department...where of course I got voicemail. The shuttle to the casinos stops running at 10pm. Ahahahahaha. You cannot walk to the casinos because of the aforementioned street fight. Please don't stay here. They need to dry up and go away.

This was my first stay at the Flagship in AC. I went the weekend of April 24-26, check in was quick and easy and the staff are very pleasant. I had a studio room very clean. I was on the 32nd floor with an Ocean View it was very romantic. My only issue the room I had, had 2 beds which made it kinda cramped the way it was set up the one bed was right up against the patio doors and the other bed was right up against the kitchenette. My opinion it would have been more room with just one bed. The price I thought was good especially for a hotel located on the boardwalk. Next visit I will be bringing my children.

I went with my fiance for the weekend of august 29th, 2008/Labor Day weekend, we had an absolute fabulous time. I read several bad reviews about this hotel and was a little skeptical when we arrived. For starters the ocean front view is absolutely phenomenal from the private balcony, we were on the 10th floor and it was absolutely breath taking. The hotel has a restuarant where they have a breakfast buffet that was delicious. We heard bad things online about dinner at the restaurant so we chose not to attend for dinner although the smell from the restaurant at dinner time was quite inviting. The hotel was very clean, the pool and jacuzzi looked great although we did not go for a swim we definitely would have if we were there longer. We went on a promotion so we had to attend a 2-hour session or what we thought was 2 hours. Someone needs to tell these people that 2 hours for a promotion is long enough, but when you go into 2 hours and 45 minutes and i have told you we are not interested as well as your supervisor and another salesman, something needs to be done. The promotion is like torture, 2 hours is way too long. If you haven't sold me in the first hour chances are i'm not going for it in the second hour and anything beyond that and i'm just down right irritated. After we were released from our captors (saleswoman) we were free to use our 100 gift certificate we earned at the borgata. The buffet at the borgata is expensive but since we had a gift certificate it covered the cost. The borgata hands down has the best buffet in atlantic city and i have been to quite a few. It is well worth the price without the gift certificate. Now getting to those elevators that everyone seems to hate, we were there on labor day weekend and the longest we waited for an elevator was 5 minutes, That was not long at all. I recommend this hotel and i do plan to purchase a time share in the future, I was sold on the ocean view alone, there is no other hotel in atlantic city with an ocean front view that has a private balcony. Review # 2 Two weeks later i went with my mom for her birthday, the weekend of September 12th 2008 we were on the 25th floor and the view was still spectacular from the balcony. All and all we had a good time however 2 things happened that almost tried to ruin our vacation. The promotion, i didnt qualify for the promotion since i had already been two weeks earlier, but my mom qualified by herself so i just attend the session with her as a tagalong. It was more irritating that the first time, after convincing the bad breath salesman that my mother isnt the time of person thats going to make a real estate decision in just two hours they still proceeded to send 2 and 3 people over to try and change her mind turning it into a 3 hours session, even though when you book the trip it says 2 HOURS! thats it, not 2 and a half, not 3! That promotion is so irritating you want to jump out into the ocean, it needs to be an hour thats it, after that its torture. We were so upset when we left the promotion we had to literally get a drink and remember we were on vacation. The second thing was the elevators broke on saturday at about 1:00p.m, thats right i said the elevators broke and we were on the 25th floor, we had to walk down 19 flights of stairs because they have an express elevator on floor 7 that only goes to 7,5 and the ground floor. Once we got to the lobby we decided to catch the shuttle to ballys which was late, its supposed to leave on the hour but it was 2:30 when it picked us up. We had to get back on the shuttle at 3:15 because it leaves ballys (15 min after the hour) so that we could be back for the promotion at 4, needless to say we got back to ballys at 3:20 and the shuttle was nowhere to be found, it had left us, i honestly dont think it ever came back after dropping us at ballys at 2:30, we took a cab back which cost us 12 bucks, that was our drama, all in all i still would go back and i still do love the flagship.

since we went in november the indoor pool was perfect, the shuttle to ballys a nice plus but we did walk it quite a bit down the boardwalk, never had a problem with the elevators that we had read in the past, all the staff went above and beyond and i would stay there again in a second

This is our second stay with the Flagship, and have noticed alot of upgrades, which were nice to see. Other than the pool all other areas look great. The Concierge "Barry" was great for giving us information, taking the time with us to give us alot of ideas, and suggestions of what to do and where to go during our stay. He made us feel important and definately cared that we had a great holiday. We even joined him in his line dance class, which was alot of fun. We also had good service whenever we needed anything, from housekeeping, they were prompt and friendly. It was nice to see John and know he was still here. But all and all we did enjoy our stay very much.

The hotel lobby has been redecorated,but the rooms need serious work. I stayed during the June 24, 2007, week. Upon check-in, the lights in the room were not working properly and the door to the bathroom had holes in it, which the hotel is now trying to scam me into paying for, by charging my credit card without my permission. This hotel is engaging in scamming their customers. I would never stay at this hotel again.
