Excellent Hotel !!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/02/08
I recently stayted at this hotel for two nights during a Motor Coach tour to Florida. We stayed a night travelling to Florda and also a night on our return trip. I found the entire hotel to be very clean, the room were very nice, with two double beds, the bathroom was bright & clean, with plenty of towels, etc. The staff I found to be very helpful and the complimentary breakfast was more than ample, with eggs, cereal, toast, waffles, mini muffins, danishs, the usual beverages and also fruit. The lady looking after the breakfast area, was very freindly and helpful, even to the point of cooking a waffle for one of the elderly people travelling in our group. I would not hestitate to stay at this hotel again. Two thumbs up for sure.

uncooperativeness of staff
By gmetallic, 10/27/07
As an overweight person i have a hard time sleeping and normally spend my night sleeping in a chair, i called down to ask about a wing chair being brought up to my room my I was told that they did not have one even through there was one sitting in the front lobby, then i was told that it could not move from the lobby. it is now 2:00 pm in the morning and i'm still not able to sleep. i was scheduled for a two night stay but i will be heading home tomorrow and missing one day of the two day bingo i had come for because all other rooms are taken in bangor maine.

Small is the key word
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/16/07
This hotel has a great location, being close to the Bangor Mall and other shopping. The hotel was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The room was very small, and the bathroom even smaller. You almost had to stand in the bathtub to close the door. The lavatory was outside the bathroom. The continental breakfast was a joke. First it was way off in the furthest corner of the motel from our room. Then, the selection was small. We ended going someplace else for breakfast. This place would be a good place to stay, if you were a small person with low expectations.

Girl in kitchen called Chris
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/23/07
Hello, This hotel is like a lot more hotels we've stayed in. Nice, clean, courteous staff. But one staff member we met at this hotel stands out above the rest. Her name is Chris.Don't know her last name. This girl was exceptionally nice, courteous, and genuine. She greeted us and everyone else with a cheery good morning and if she knew the customers, would call them by their names. We thought, what a beautiful personality this girl has. I spoke with the manager before leaving. He said, customers always have very good things to say about her. She has been with the company for over 10 years. We go to Bangor fairly often. Comfort Inn all the way. Besides that, the room was nice and clean which helps. People like Chris, should be recognize,(maybe she has)by the Comfort Inn Head Office. Francis & Loretta One of the star is for Chris.

Welcome to the most disgusting hotel in Bangor
By Jack, 08/02/05
Ok where do I start, the rooms felt sticky and had an unpleasant odor, I tried to set my alarm clock and it wouldn't turn off,I had to unplug it, I called for a wake up call at 8am, & recieved it at 8:12am. I woke up in the morning to find out that I shared my room with a cochroach and at least one flea... but we all know where theres one, theres a hundred more. And to top things off I checked out and was almost home when I realised that I had forgotten a very expensive shirt on the back of the washroom door in my room. When I called to have them check they informed me that the shirt was not there. So to sum up my experience, the service was poor, the rooms were unsanitary, I was overcharged for my room, and the staff are not trustworthy. I will NEVER go back again and will continue my quest to inform as many people as I can that the Comfort Inn in Bangor is nothing but a dirty disgusting hole.
