One of my worst hotel experiences ever
By Britney_Blazes, 6/13/10
I booked a one night stay here last minute seeing that for some reason all my choice hotels seemed to be full & I expected this hotel to be at least somewhat decent. Never again! This review is long! My longest one yet! Sorry! I booked directly thru the website which is way overpriced especially for the quality of this hotel. Hotel looks ok from the outside however not too much nearby except for businesses/companies. Lots of free parking though which is a plus. Upon entering the hotel lobby looks really nice. Well decorated sitting area with a cute little bar. When I first got to the hotel the girl at the front desk was friendly and let me check in early/easy and quickly. At this point I'm thinking so far so good... Front desk girl didn't direct me as to what way the elevator was so as I'm walking down a long hallway figuring I'll find it myself I notice the decline in the hotel appearance *as I am walking* Long walk I later realized could have been avoided if I was told there was another elevator right around the corner from the front desk which would have taken me right in front of my room.. As soon as I step out to my floor (4th) I notice a really bad smell. I'm thinking it will go away but it doesn't the entire floor including my room smelled! really bad! Then as I am getting to my room I notice right outside my door there is a loud machine-some fan like thing that is way loud. I'm hoping its blowing the bad smell away but when I left about an hour later the floor still smelled just as bad. I wasted 2 bottles (one brand new) of my body splash! So off to a bad start...& getting worse. Bad reception on my cell phone. I'm on a call for work when my hotel room phone rings I pick up a little annoyed seeing I was on a call to hear the front desk asking if everything was ok. I understand that may be their idea of good customer service so whatever. I said yes everything is good seeing I am on a call & already put someone on hold I'm not going to get into my already bad stay. So I hang up, ended up having my cell phone cut out so much I gave up on the idea of having a conversation w/ work. Decide to take a shower to find only one very small towel (rough) 1 washcloth & 1 hand towel. 1 Shampoo/conditioner/bar of soap. . Small bathroom/shower area. About 30 seconds after I get in the shower...someone knocks on the door! Great! I forgot the do not disturb sign! About 5 min ago the front desk had called my room to make sure it was good in which I agreed seeing I didn't have the time to get into it....I open the door a crack since the 1 towel provided didn't cover much. It was management- just making sure everything was ok?! I said yes so annoyed at that point, I mean someone just called & confirmed that with me 5 min ago! At that point I put the do not disturb sign on, closed the door; I'm not sure if management was still standing there or what. I didn't really care. As for the rooms...Old style big tv in room. The airconditioner/heater didn't work and no fridge in room. Walls are very thin. Bad smell! A lot of floorspace in which you could see the stains on the carpet. Pillows looked flat on bed which looked uncomfortable too. I wouldn't know because as soon as I got dressed again I left. I didn't even unpack so at least I didn't have to get all my stuff together again. I did not even bother checking out or going to the front desk I honestly just wanted out. I wasted a good amount of money on a room & wasted 2 bottles of my favorite Victoria's Secret body splash! I thought the Ramada was bad....but at least The Ramada has a price that reflects the quality you should expect. A positive thing about the Country Inn and Suites...free internet (although I did not use it myself).

Something to consider b4 stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/24/05
I stayed here back in 2004 b4 this inn changed ownership. I came back for a second time this past weekend and did not feel the same quality that I felt the first time. I think the new management may have a different way they have chose to run the inn. There's room service, but I was told there's no room service on the weekends. If you stay over the pool area, be prepared to listen to the kids yelling back and forth below. The room was clean but I found the movies overpriced.

Expected Better
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/1/05
I stayed here for the first time because the rate was slightly better then the Sheraton Sunnyvale. I was very disappointed by the small rooms and the poor service. The food was sub-standard. I'm going back to the Sheraton Sunnyvale - it's worth a few extra dollars.

Best hotel choice in northern Sunnyvale
By Virginia, 9/2/04
In an area dominated by second-tier chain motels/motels, the Prime is a standout. This is the place to stay if you are visiting northern Sunnyvale. It's comfortable, elegant, quiet, with high-quality accomodations and sensitivity to business travelers' needs. A little more expensive than the local competition and well worth it.
