It was absolutely delightful!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/17/08
My daughter and I were guests at the Victoria during Oct. of last year. We were pleasantly surprised to find the beautiful surroundings, accomidations and comfort. I moved from Anniston seven years ago after living there for twenty six years. Thank you for a lovely stay. Margaret (Ginny) Mckee and daughter Paulette Melson. I now live in Reno, NV.

A touch of class
By Clark C, 11/05/06
The room was slightly threadbare, which sometimes occurs when furnishing with antiques, but I still preferred it to motel generic as in Super 8. The service was flawless from the entire staff, and the food was wonderful. The arrangement of covered walkways out back created a delightful air of intimacy, like an enchanted garden, and it was perfect for all the reunion guests. I hope we all come back to the same place next time around.

In the year 1988, I first visited Anniston, Al. My son had recently joined the U.S. Army and was station at the nearby army base. My daughter and I drove all night to reach Anniston in time for my son's gratuation from basic training. I immediately felt a warm and welcome feeling upon arriving in Anniston. My daugher and I decided to stayed at The Victoria, Country Inn and Restaurant because it looked so beautiful from the street. How could we have been so lucky to have chosen The Victoria! Upon checking in, the staff was gracious and informative. The rooms were beautifully decorated, comfortable, and clean. And the restaurant, what can I say, we hit the jackpot! The atmosphere, staff, and food where as good as it gets!!! I especially remember the warm, fresh taste of the bread...my salad with the special poppy seed dressing was out of this world! My only regret, not asking for the recipe! I have often thought of our visit to Anniston and the wonderful stay at The Victoria. The warm, friendly people of this beautiful state certainly left us with sweet memories. I truly would, "drive all night" to do it again!!!

Alabama's Best Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/07/05
This is really one of the great hotels in America. Great rooms, suites and guest house. It is a shame it is in such a terrible city. Great food, great pool. I love it!
