$99 is NOT a lot to stay in McLean.

Drive 3 minutes from the hotel and see Bobby and Ethel Kennedy's house. Shop at the Rite Aid and see General Colin Powell buying saleprice shampoo for his wife Alma. There's Dick Cheney in the candy aisle of the Giant Food Store surrounded by 4 secret service guys pretending to be ghosts. There's Newt Gingrich in his blue workshirt checking out his groceries. Go see an old toll road, now called Georgetown Pike, where all the millionaires and billionaires now live just seconds from the CIA.
The Staybridge is the ONLY hotel in McLean. That's why they're always loaded with customers. But McLean is the Rodeo Drive of Washington Politics because it's only 3 miles from the D.C. Line. If you know your politicians, this is Hollywood for you. So no, $99 ain't too much.
