Residence Inn by Marriott Orlando Lake Buena Vista, Orlando

For being a Marriott brand hotel, this felt like a motel 6. Stayed in Aug. First off, the hotel corridor/rooms smell. Hallways dirty and filled with trash bags that had not been taken out. Laundry too expensive, $3 to wash a load. (everywhere else in the area charge 1.50-2.00) With a family you have more than one load to wash, can get expensive. The rooms-----dirty and old. (unusual for a Marriott) There was food from the last guest in the disposal that was creating an odor in there. Food crumbs in the kitchen that was not swept. Bathroom super small. (we have a one room suite) carpet didnt look like it was ever vacuum. I called and asked housekeeping to have them do it when they clean they said it was done......um when??? All in all I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I'd tell them to stay at the Courtyard on the same street or the Springhill suites in the area. Tried to change but were sold out. (and you can stay for cheaper with FULL breakfast) The one good thing about this hotel is the pool and pool bar. Nice pool for kids/families. And open late too which is nice. I expressed my concerns to the front desk and they did compensate me and apologized. very helpful staff, just wish it would be up to Marriott standards. Breakfast was good as well. Hotel is conveniently located, from the freeway and EVERY kind of food you'd imagine is in the area! Close to Disneyworld and all other attractions for that matter! Don't forget while you are there to visit Gatorland......AMAZING PLACE!

Likes- fast service and great free hot breakfast Dislike- bed sheets needs to be changed everyday. I kept leaving a note to change bed sheets but was never done.

I think this Hotel is WONDERFUL!! the beds are very soft and clean, the room was big and clean and breakfast was delicious. The price is Ok for the excellent service. I really hope i can go back.

Pros: Not too far from attractions, close to stores and restaurants, clean, nice breakfast. Also, spacious rooms, quiet area, nice pool. Cons: Elevators a little slow, staircase smelled weird, one small trashcan in bathroom (bring a trash-bag), placement of the TV. Also, like other hotels, lighting could have been better; especially in the bathroom. Staff is very nice & helpful. This is a good place to stay if you aren't visiting for long. It's also worth the money, but see if you can get a discount anyway. I would recommend this hotel to families and couples visiting the area.

First class hotel in a superb location. "Six star" service. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms spacious providing everything needed for stress free and comfortable holiday(i.e., ironing board, hair dryer, etc.). Connections to Disney Theme Parks prompt. Located near enough to food and shopping malls without being too close to be affected by busy roads or noise. Only one downside, after arriving very tired from a long journey, approached at check-in by Marriott timeshare person. I would imagine this practise has now been stopped. Would highly recommend this hotel.
