Howard Johnson, Cangrejo Arriba

I think the whole staff was very friendly and polite.When I made a request for my guests to use the the facuity the staff was very accomending.I would go back to this on my next trip. Thank you to the staff of Howard Johnson -Isla Verde.

The beach is across the street. You can take the bus to San Juan for 0.75 You can rent a car right on the premises for 18.95 a day. The continental breakfast was cheap. The gym all the equipment is broken. There was a t.v. stand no t.v. some of the equipment was rusted very disappointed. The t.v. was out for 2 days in a row and the pool was out of order 4 days straight. :( Got to use it once. There were fleas in the room Igot bit massively. People within reviews say it bed bugs but that isnt the case at all. They are fleas in the carpet.

I liked the location, hotel layout and the rooms were nice clean and spacious. The location allowed me to save money on taxi fares since there were buses running between Old San Juan Candado, Plaza Las Americas and Plaza Carolina. There are quite a few fast-food restaurants,supermarkets and drugstore within walking distance, and with a fridge and microwave in the room, I was able to save more money. I thought the hotel was stingy on their continental breakfast, serving only one danish or muffin, no fruits, no cereals and barely enough water for a full cup of tea, and a shot-glass of orange juice. On two of my three days stay, the water for the tea was dirty and smelly and so was the pitcher from which the water was served. The hotel restaurant, on the 10th floor, needs to do better. The pool closes too early at 7 p.m. By the time that I returned to the hotel at night, it was already closed.

I loved it. I loved it all. And it was very good alocated. I loved!!! I really did. It was the best vacation I had in years when I stayed there at the Howard Johnson In Isla Verde and also knowing that everything was pretty much nearby. Restaurants, supermarket. too much to mention. Would love to go back there soon !

When we arrived the staff was SO rude. The place is filthy. I wore my shoes in the shower and my clothes to bed...need I say more?... And was sent home with a bout of bed bugs! Thanks HOJO!

This hotel is extremely noisy. I stayed there for 3 nights and was awakened at 6:30 am every morning from interior construction activities. The food at this hotel is of the lowest quality, it's sloppy and runny all over your plate, barely edible. The food is expensive and coffe is $5 a cup. Parking in the rear is very difficult. Most guests appeared very unhappy with the whole experience.

I cannot think of a dislike, the parking, the pool area, the restaurant,location etc. are so conveneient. I will stay there at the end of this month for a few weeks. See you then. sincerely iris lebron-colon
