Online reservations not treated the same
We were staying in the Ashton because of a building demolition party the next morning. When we showed to check in, we were informed that they were sealing the doors at 5 a.m. and were not letting anyone out until 11 a.m. (after the demolition). No one contacted us about these restrictions, although they said that they had tried to contact everyone or tell them when reservations were made.
Based upon prior experience with other hotels, I think that persons who make reservations online are not looked on with favor, and I doubt that the Ashton bothered to try and contact us for that reason.
I live in Fort Worth and The Ashton has a wonderful reputation, but as with most online reservations, you may want to verify them with the hotel before you leave. They did help us get a reservation at the Worthington for the night.
