Candlewood Suites Orange County, Santa Ana

This place was a great deal for Irvine....room was newly renovated...and the front desk was very friendly...I would go back

I have booked the suites for 2 adult and a child. They said it was a queen size bed with the sofa bed. Acually that was a full size bed what we slept and was so uncomfortable. The carpet has something spilled (must be milk or water) and the living area was so smelly on that side. When I checked out I told the front desk about these and they just said O.K. and didn't evern say sorry. For the price I paid it wasn't worth at all. Then I asked for a roll away bed for my child (with the full size bed), they said they don't have any all are out.

I am a frequent traveller and have stayed at many different hotels and this is definitely one that i would come back to whenver i am in orange county. They are not a full service hotel but that works out for me. Who needs housekeeping everyday?? ---their fitness gym and cupboard are great - it's open 24 hours and they do have a great selection of food/snacks in the cupboard. the kitchen is a plus of course since i have the option to cook if i don't feel like driving to get something to eat...I agree that the front desk is not always there but i found out that it is because there is only one person working during the night shift and they actually do the hotel laundry too so that is understandable. They were quick to respond anyways when i needed help....All in all, i had a great 2 weeks here!!! Bottom line is, as long as you know what services they offer/don't then you'll love this place!!! 2 thumbs up to everybody who works there...enjoyed my stay and i will definitely be back in a few months!!!!=)

Suite with kitchenette was very clean. Good spot for cost conscious business travellers to the area, with free high speed internet and local calls. The hotel was very quiet when I was there.
