sad.....
By Tris, 08/18/09
The Siena used to be one of my favorite casinos in Reno. They gave all of the dealers and pit bosses notice that at the end of the month they are fired because they are changing the format. They will now have a dance floor and dealers wearing next to nothing. It used to be a classy place and had some of the friendliest pit bosses and dealers in town. Now it will be similar to a strip club. I bet the place is out of business by the end of the year.

good atmosphere, convenient and friendly
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/03/09
We've stayed here several times. The rates are higher than the large casinos, but it is worth the convenience and atmosphere. Right on the Truckee River. Close to everything. Right across the street from the new Reno Aces ballpark. Will definitly go back. We also enjoyed the Contrada Cafe. Good food.

Excellent Weekend
By tat2freak, 08/11/08
The price was great, the food was AWESOME (both room service and downstairs). Wife and I had a wonderful time, it was relaxing, close to downtown for site seeing and the room was very nice. I will stay here again!

Watch for double billing!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/27/07
We made a reservation for 02/24/07, and a full charge for the room showed up on our bank statement on 01/29/07. When we checked in on 02/24, the Siena attempted to bill us again and for $50 extra. When we informed them they had already charged us, they said they had no record of it. We had to go to our online banking statement and find the VISA reference number before the front desk backed down and conceded a mistake. Their explanation was that they must have billed us as a "no show," thinking we were checking in at then end of January. Well, we had the confirmation and correct 02/24 check-in email that had come directly from the Siena, but that didn't make a difference to them earlier. We have tried to get an explantion from management, but there has been zero response.

Disappointment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/07/07
Other reviews gave this hotel high marks but the a upgraded room was a view of the ventilation equipment, carpet torn and spotted with a staff who didn't want to make an extra effort for anything. There is no wireless connection as advertised.

Pleasantly surprised!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/13/05
I've stayed in various hotels in Reno and the Siena was by far the best yet. The bed was fabulous, the room very nice and clean, hotel personnel was very friendly. The casino was a little small and smokey, but I didn't spend a lot of time there. Thank you Siena. I would go back.

Super conference site on River
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/05/05
Hi we just held a small conference for 30 people at the Siena hotel in Reno. The staff was very responsive to all our requests. The rooms and especially the beds were great. The site is right on the Truckee River walk so it was very nice for the free time between seminars. The food is good. I recommend the Siena for small conferences. Louis Basque restaurant is just a few blocks away so we had one lunch there. The Hilton Bowling Center is a straight shot down Mill Street and we had fun bowling as a group on Sat night. We drove 1 hour and fifteen minutes to curise lake tahoe on the MS dixie, $29 per person truly spectacular, the boat has two bars on board too. I give the Siena. Mike in Reno

Horrible experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/16/05
We stayed at this place for our anniversary and were treated like garbage. Our room was changed 3 times and the food in the restaurants was horrible. When we spoke to the food and beverage manager, Mr. Carr,he told us we could find another hotel if we were unhappy! This is hospitality?

wonderful find
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/15/05
This was a spur of the moment blind choice that we picked up moments before heading up to Reno. We weren't expecting much but once we saw the hotel, we fell in love. The atmosphere, service and experience was terrific. The location is just perfect, walking distance to everything. We wouldn't have wanted to spend the night anywhere else.
