Embassy Suites Anaheim - South, Garden Grove

We stay at Embassy Suites allot because we like the buffets when traveling with our the 3 children. Usually the service is adequate at most of the ones that we have stayed at including the one in San Diego just before staying here. Unfortunately the service here was horrible. From the lack of attention at the front desk, the inability to provide any guidence to local attractions and the downright rood attitude from the attendant at the transportation booth. Get a rental car as you will not want to have to deal with the transportation attendant. From what would have been an average stay at a typical Embassy Suites (clean room, decent buffet) was ruined by the poor customer service at this hotel. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone!

i stayed here when i went ot disneyland i liked the breakfast in the morning and it was close to everthing and the next time i come i will come back here !!!

I changed my accommodation arrangements to the Embassy Suites Anaheim-South just a couple of days before my trip, and I am glad I did. I have stayed at a dozen or more different Anaheim Hotels and as far as comfort go I would only rather stay at the Disney Grand Californian. I saved a little over $40 a night staying here versus a Hotel closer to Disneyland, yet even with paying $12 to park at Disneyland I still feel this is a better place to stay. We had a 'Fireworks View' room and the night we saw the fireworks from the room it was pretty decent. The room was clean and very comfortable. I thought the Animatronic Lion was kind of neat and most of the kids had a hard time taking their eyes off it. Outback Steak House, Red Robin, and several other restaurants are a short walk away. Things I didn't like: The complimentary breakfast is better than your standard Hotel complimentary breakfast, yet the one morning I ate there I wished I hadn't; I suggest if you decide to have the breakfast trying the 'made to order omelets' I didn't have the patients to try it and it looked good. I know the breakfast was free and it was my choice to eat there, and I'm sure there are people who have eaten worse that thought it was great. There is a large section of paint peeling from the ceiling of the atrium that needs attention, and the right elevator on the south side sometimes didn't work. * We had a room right next to the elevators, but the noise was very minimal; there is a soft rolling sound, but it didn't bother us. * I had read that there were false fire alarm problems here, and we had even heard while riding up the elevator there had been a false alarm the night before we arrived, yet we did not experience this problem. We really liked this place, but I would not pay more or even the same money to stay here in comparison to a hotel closer to Disneyland.

We recently stayed at the Embassy Suites on a trip to Disneyland. The hotel was exactly as pictured. The rooms were very clean and well-appointed. The hot complimentary breakfast was well worth it and had a wide variety; however, the manager's reception lacked a little on the snacks, but had a good choice of beverages. The location was a little far to walk to Disneyland, but you could catch the ART shuttle right outside the hotel for a small fare and ran every 20 minutes or so. There was a good choice of restaurants nearby, including Buca di Beppo (excellent!), Red Robin, and the Outback. All in all, we would definitely stay again!

The room was clean, and fairly spacious as typical of most Embassy Suites - great when the kids like to wake up early and watch cartoons. We were placed in a room next to the electrical room, and the humming noise was unbearable, so we requested and was given a different room. The staff in general was clearly unfriendly at this hotel, and the people handling the drinks during the manager's reception were downright rude; possibly overwhelmed by the busyness of the spring break crowd. This hotel overall appears to be understaffed. We walked over to the Hyatt for dinner on two of the nights, and the staffs we encountered there were all very friendly (even opened the door for us) - just a different feel. This hotel was definitely too long of a walk to Disneyland for anyone with younger kids - we estimated the distance to be about 1.5 miles to the front gate. Imagine after a long day on your feet at Disneyland, and have to walk that distance back to the hotel, and possibly carrying a tired child. Obviously, we opted for the shuttle tickets, which was $3.00 for anyone over 48-inches, and $1.00 for under.

We have stayed at other Embassy Suites before and were delighted. This one is not bad; just okay. Rooms were fine, breakfast was pretty good, happy hour was dull. We were there for 5 nights and every night was chex mix or popcorn. I like Baily's and coffee in the evening and that was not on the complimentary drink list (other Embassy's are). I was irritated at that. Otherwise everyting was ok except the 3:30am fire alarm and we had to hike down 14 flights with 2 kids and back up! No fire luckily.

We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and it is, hands-down, our favorite place to stay! The all-suite hotel is family friendly, with extremely spacious, well-laid out rooms. The lobby is beautiful, and the courtyard has four glass elevators that overlook the 14 story lush atrium with a waterfall and koi ponds as you go up to your room. You enter into the sitting room of your suite that holds a pull-out couch, chair, coffee table, free-standing dining room table with four chairs, and an armoire with a television. It is very spacious and comfortable. There is a small hallway with a small kitchen sink, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and large countertop. To the left is one of the largest hotel bathrooms we have experiences so far. The large shower has an extended tiled area for your HBA items, a nice shower curtain on a rounded shower bar. Like everything else, the two queen bed suite was very large and comfortable. There was more than enough room for the extra chair, two armoires and desk, plus extra space for the ironing board and your luggage. The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable and we slept quite soundly. The room had a jungle theme which my children loved. We ordered room service twice, and for hotel food it was pretty good and was served quickly. The ample laundry facilities are very nice and are located on every other floor so guests should not find themselves waiting for long periods to use the facilities if they find the need to was a load or two. There is also a great little gift shop and a very small arcade for teens just wanting to hang out. I would be remiss if I did not mention the full, made to order breakfast that this hotel offers. Guests dine in the atrium, which my children absolutely loved, and my husband and I found that we really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings before the hustle and bustle of visiting local attractions. You were able to start the day out being much more relaxed. The hotel offers made to order omelets, scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, bacon, potatoes, several types of fresh fruit, several types of cold cereal, three or four options of individual servings of yogurt, bagels, toast, English muffins, pastries, cranberry juice, orange juice, apple juice, milk and other hot beverage selections. I am sure I am forgetting to list things that were served, but the only thing we honestly missed were that there were no Belgium waffles, which we personally enjoy. There was something for even the pickiest of eaters. Having a full breakfast saved us from being nearly as hungry at Disneyland, which ultimately saved us money. Also, the hotel offers an evening Managers Reception with light snacks and drinks. Every member of the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Check in was easy, and the staff was more than helpful with every request we had. Parking can be a bit tricky on very busy nights as the lot is shared with other hotels. On the positive side, parking is FREE (most area hotels charge between $8-$14 per night) and the Disney tram comes every 20 minutes and children ride free, so once you are in your parking spot you will likely not have to leave unless visiting other local attractions. The only other downside we noticed was that with the open atrium the noise echoed up the atrium and you could hear the noise from guests if you were in the sitting room. Because of the room layout we have never heard any noise from any other area than the sitting room. Just as nice as it was when we visited two years ago for the first time!

Best bang for the money. We stayed four nights at the end of May and will stay there aain next year. The hotel was clean, quuiet, comfortable. The brakefast is incredible and free. The manage,s reception is grate, with nice wines and beers free! The location was excellent and the staff was friendly and very helpful.

From the minute we checked in we felt a comfort that all should feel on any vacation, we stayed for a total of 16 nights and did not ever regret the decision to stay. The Breakfast more than payed for itself, the rooms were spacious and always clean, the housekeeping staff was always just a call away, nice bathroom. Also loved the location we were never more than a few minutes walk away from a good resturant or shop. I would reccomend this hotel to any and everyone that I know and I hope you choose to stay as well

I loved it soooo much! The service was excellent! The whole layout of the hotel was very cool. It was so fun to eat there because it was like being in a safari or something. The boys who took us up to the room were so friendly too. I also loved how when you step outside your room, you can see all that is happening below you. The food was excellent as well. When my family and I came from Disney land every night, it was always nice to soak in the nice cool pool and the hottub. I miss being there so much!!! It's almost been a year since i've been there with my family. I cried when I left!
