Hampton Inn & Suites Buffalo Downtown, Buffalo

The only thing i would suggest to you guys is making sure you book it online at SweetHotelDeals. N e t I did a bunch of searching for hotel prices, and that site seems to have the lowest prices all around

Stayed at the Buffalo Hampton over Labor day with a spouse and small child. Hotel is beautiful, and as noted in other reviews, it has been completely renovated. The rooms and pool are the nicest I have ever seen at a Hampton Inn. The downside: during our first night (a Friday), about 10pm the noise and smoke started becoming an issue. The hotel floor we were on was non-smoking, but guest were allowed to smoke unchecked. The downtown are near the hotel is a prime bar spot, and guest of the hotel (and non-guests) poor into and out of the hotel all night long. Yelling, fighting, music, etc. was the norm from 10pm until 4am when the police were called. Hampton security kicked many of the guests on our floor out of the hotel with reports of guest being passed out in pools of their own vomit, stolen passports, and fights. I really feel for the security guard who had to resort to screaming at guests as he escorted them out, bordering on a fist-fight with him. The staff was apologetic, but they really have no choice but to rent rooms to anyone who pays for one. The second night was a little quieter, but a wedding party took over most of the floor and came and went while drunk throughout the night. Noise was the main issue. Summary: the Hampton Inn downtown is a very nice hotel. However, with the amount of wear and tear (and vomit and smoke) that this lovely hotel is experiencing every weekend, it likely won't stay nice for long. I paid good money for two nights and got very little sleep, so I won't be back again.

I liked the location, right in the heart of the Theatre/Entertainment District. Surrounded by countless unique restaurants, lounges, cafe's, and near the shopping district (Elmwood Village). The city views from our room were simply amazing, the entire hotel is clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I will definitely come back and recommend others to stay here when in Buffalo.

These reservations where booked by a third party for a wedding. So we had no idea what to expect. We where delighted with the quality and class of the hotel. It is an elegant hotel. The service of the employees was always prompt and pleasant. The pool is much larger than is normally expected of Hampton Inns. The full service breakfast was what everyone in our party wanted. The rooms are spacious and elegantly appointed. There where many restaurants within walking distance and affiliated with the hotel. There is also a movie theater within walking distance. They also had an elevator security system where your room key works the elevator. The only thing we could have used would be a small refrigerator in the room. We did need to keep medicine refrigerated and kept refilling the insulated quart drink container with ice. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering this choice.

My family and l went to the Hampton lnn , and the treatment we received, from the hotel manager was terrible. The day of our check out my wife felt sick, so l decided to allow her to rest for a few hours since our trip back was a few hour`s drive, the maid came to our door and l informed her we would be departing late, she told me that would be fine and she would return later. l called the front desk when my wife felt better and told them that we would be leaving in 10 minutes, the front desk hesitated and then told me to come to the front desk before l left.When l got to the front desk, l was amazed that the reason they wanted me to come to the front desk was to tell me off for having a late departure, and that l was lucky that they would not charge me extra THIS TIME! Not once was l ever asked ,how was your stay sir, or anything to do with my families comfort, we were promised a cott for my daughter and when we arrived we were told there were none avaliable,when we asked for extra pillow`s to make a bed for her , we were told we can only get you 2 pillows. Well we go to Buffalo once a month and we always stay at the Marriot in Amherst, we thought we would give someplace else a try, man were we wrong!! l will never go back to the Hampton lnn if it were FREE!!!

I think that the best thing about this hotel is that it is right near all of the action if you are looking for the night life. However, at the same time it is just far enough for the customers not to be disturbed by the viberant and energetic crowd that gathers down the block. The room is clean, the staff very helpfull. One thing that is annoying as with many hotels now, is that one has to swipe his or her card whenever the elivator needs to be used.
