We will never stay at this hotel again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/30/09
When we checked into this hotel on Wednesday evening there was no one available to check us in. We waited awhile with another person so we could get our rooms. Once entering the room we found the toilet running. I reported it and the same girl who checked us in said she would be up right away to fix it. After an hour of waiting my husband ended up fixing it himself. The female employee never showed up to correct the problem. Later I went into the bathroom and it was infested with ants all over the floor and walls. Once again I called to have maintenance take care of the problem. We were told that maintenance was not available until the morning and were given a bottle of Comet to spray the ants with. When my husband asked for a manager we were told that one was not available until the morning. We couldn't beleive it! This female employee was the only employee on site servicing the completely booked hotel. She was incapable of handling the checking in and room complaints on her own without more assistance. 30 - 40 minutes later a manager showed up at 10:40 p.m. with a can of Raid. We had concerns that they were asking us to first spray bleach on the ants then a heavy chemical. We were promised that the problem would be taken care of at 7:00 a.m. the following morning. In the morning my husband asked for the manager. Still we were told that the manager was not in. When we came back at 1:00 p.m. we noticed that the can of Raid was gone but the mess from the dead ants had not been cleaned up. We were truly disappointed in our stay. We had cancelled a reservation at another hotel nearby so that we could stay at this hotel.

Hope to visit soon
By Squeakers, 9/27/05
When my family and I visited Ft. Leonard Wood,in Feb.2005,to see my youngest son,who was graduating from Boot Camp, our bus trip from EC,IN was very tiresome. We did'nt arrived in ST. Robert until past 2am. My grandson was exceptionally tired, being 6 years old and never took such a long bus ride,it was a treat for him to be able to "lay down". But when we entered the suite at Hampton,he was so excited,I had to practically beg him to get some rest!. The entire staff at Hampton Inn was so wonderful and pleasant. The atmosphere was exilarating! Everything we needed was at our fingertips. The complementary breakfast was beautiful, and the suite (we had double occupancy-king size beds),was breathtaking. We took many pictures, and my grandson still talks about it today. All of the pictures taken of him are all over his bedroom walls. I hope to visit Hampton Inn again!. (soon)

Nice location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/2/05
Near a military base and some rooms are used for military housing. Clean and comfortable though a bit small. Convenient to dining. One problem was the apartment community behind the hotel. Residents were shooting fireworks into the early morning. Suggest you request a room to the front if you want quiet.
