We arrived early Friday morning from a Red Eye flight from Washington, D.C. I explained my arrival plans when making the reservation. I explained to the person taking the reservation that we were coming there for a wedding and this was one of the holtels on the list, and our itinerary. When we arrived at the hotel I was told that my reservation was for the next day and there was nothing available.
The person on the desk was Joel. He had an "I don't care attitude". He referred us to Fairfield Marriott which had just opened. They had rooms avialable. We told him that we really wanted to stay at the Marriott because they offered what we needed for the trip. He didn't care. Plus he did not have much time to spend on us, so what do you want to do. This is at 1 am at a place we never been. I forgot to mention it was for of us and all of us were black.
However, Paula, the shuttle bus driver, was very sorry and she went an extra mile to help. She drove us to several hotels in the arrea. We eneded up at Fairfield. The stay was nice and they did the best they could. April, the desk clerk, is to be complimented for efforts. However, we were inconvenienced by staying there because were were in and out a lot.
I do not recommend this hotel. When they see you they might change your reservation.
