Quality Inn & Suites on Corpus Christi Beach, Corpus Christi

Upon arriving we were given a room that already had guest in it!!!! They were very surprised when I opened the door, however they too were given a room with other guest in it ! Then they moved us to a room with the bathroom light hanging by wires, an over flowing stool and the door handle fell off in my hand when we opened the door! , then they moved us to a diff room once again, it had a nasty tub and nasty stool! Grrrrrrrrrrr. Good thing the beach is nice! Cause this hotel really sucks! I would recommend you go to the raddison next door !

We recently stayed at this Inn and found it to be a fabulous place to vacation. The location and rates can't be beat. We were there "off season" which is another wonderful thing - no kids acting up, and not many tourists. We found that it is the people that stay there that abuse the premises, not obeying the rules - beer drinking in the pool area with their cans and garbage left there; people letting their kids use the hot tub when they should be using the kiddy pool. Hot tubs should be for adults only. The beach was absolutely great. We found it very clean. The breakfast room was no different than any other hotel that serves breakfasts. It depends on what time you get there. The selection of foods at breakfast was very good. We had a poolside room. It was very clean to the point where we did not need room service for the 3 days we were there. This Inn is also very accommodating to pets. We had a fabulous vacation and plan on returning there again next year. We found that the staff was very friendly, but it's certain inconsiderate and rude people that make it unpleasant for others, and expect others to clean up their mess just because they consider themselves as "guests".

This place is NASTY!!!! We had never been to the coast, so we invited family from Chicago to come with us. I was soooo embarrased that I had booked my family in this place. It does not look like the photos at all!!! The rooms were filthy, light switches hung out of the wall, air conditioner filter was caked with dust, beds were very worn out, pool area smelt of urine, beach area around the room (we stayed in the beach front room) was not maintained. Breakfast was a madhouse. They need to check that rooms are not used beyond capacity. There was a family of about 20 staying in 2 rooms next to the pool. There is not a good place to eat around. Blackbeards is across the street, but it to was nasty, waitress was rude, and it was very overpriced. The only good thing about the trip was going to Yummies (next door) for ice cream. We definatly will not return!!!

Pros: Location to downtown and the USS Lexington. Beach location good. Was not a dirty beach on out trip and did have a sanitation worker cleaning up in the morning hours. Cons: Where do you begin! Our room was gross, carpet so nasty would not take off shoes, towel rack held together with rubber bands, light socked pulled out of the wall, shower door did not fit had a huge 2 inch gap and door lock broken, The walls are paper thin and when people are even 10 feet from your door sounds like they are in your room. The breakfast was ok, very busy and not well re-stocked. Spoke to another family outside our room to see if we just had a bad room and they said that theirs was nasty as well. My suggestion stay next door at the Raddison, looked like a much nicer hotel.

This place is filthy. Pizza behind the refrigerator. Cobwebs and dirt behind the night stand. Some kind of sticky stuff on the carpet. Room was very small... difficult for 2 occupy. There isn't any elevator. Electrical extension cords used. Electrical outlet held to the wall with blue tape. I will never stay here ever again. Dirty!!!

I just wanted to express my sincere disappointment in our recent family vacation to Corpus Christi. We used the website (corpuschristibeachhotels.com) to find the Quality Inn & Suites. It sounded like the perfect place to spend some time with our family before school started. We booked 3 beach front rooms for 4 nights. What a huge disappointment! This hotel, and many of them on the beach, is on a public beach. The hotel is not "newly renovated" as the website claims. Yes, the rooms were beach front but one the exterior doors was duct taped shut! The patios had not been cleaned, in fact, the entire property was covered in trash...from the pool area to the patios. There was a smoke detector missing from one room. There were ants around the entry ways. The pool was dirty. And the beach was horrible! I understand they don't have control over the rocky shoreline and the jellyfish but the sand was covered in trash...beer bottles, dirty diapers and food wrappers were everywhere and I never saw anyone making an effort to clean up. What an environmental nightmare! We walked down the beach for a few miles and it just kept getting worse. To top it off, our sand chairs were stolen from our deck. Needless to say, after 2 nights we checked out and left town. Family vacation ruined. I would give it "zero stars" but you have to mark something.

We liked the location, but everything else was as crappy as can be. The room was filthy - BLOOD on the toilet rim, rotten food in the window sill, etc. The ladies at the front desk were horribly rude. We asked for towels and they told us we'd need to wait until 9 am to get them, so my hubby asked about the towels in the room next to the desk and they said those were "pool towels only". 5 minutes later, another guest was taken into that room and given a load of towels. It was not 9 am. I would not recommend this motel & I would never stay there again.

decent location upon arrival; however once we entered the room there were two roaches mating and another one on another wall!! neither of them small!--nice staff though.

After reading some of the reviews, I was wondering about this motel, however upon arrival I found friendy staff, clean rooms, and a wonderful pool to relax in and by it. The beach front was very clean, and it's great to walk out of the room, by the hot tub and pool on to the beach and just relax. Yes the pool could use a little painting of the bottom but it felt great after a long day at the Lexington. The breakfast was really great, however if you get up to late you may be faced with a full room and everyone wanting those great tasting waffles.. Could of used a 3rd waffle maker and if only some people would clean up after themselves. The staff was fast at keeping breakfast supplies fresh. The breakfast room overflowed out onto the table placed in the court yard and you had a choice to eat indoors or outdoors. Our room face the court yard, pool and beach. Yes it would be nice to have a little larger room but we did just fine and our room was well taken care of. It's nice to sit out of the balcony and drink coffee and watch the ships pass going to port. Above all else, the price for staying at the Quality Inn is indeed fair and I do agree that it is dated by the main floor carpet and etc. but that has little to do with the comfort of the room and the Inn overall. Yes we do plan on coming back again and may even get a suite the next time. They afford us a even more reduced rate if we come back again. Please let me say all the information I got before our stay came from the reviews. I had never seen this place before we arrived, but we did enjoy our stay. Gene & Sandra Cremeens, El Campo, Texas
