Comfort Suites Isle Of Palms Charleston, Mt Pleasant

We came to Charleston to attend the PGA Championship so it was a busy week here in the Charleston area ... After reading some of the reviews we were a little nervous to stay here ... But we are very happy with the hotel the area and location ... The staff was great and the hotel is clean and our room was GREAT .. It just goes to show sometimes you can beileve everything you read ..... we will stay here again and are excited to come back to Charleston... Thanks

After reading the reviews I guess my complaint is not new. My problem is that we stayed 1 day less than our reservation and cannot get a refund We paid cash for our 4 day stay for 2 rooms and left after the 3rd day due to a family emergency. I have spoken to the hotel "manager" at least 6 times and to Choice corporate (who have been very sympathetic but can't seem to get much action either) at least 3 times. I have asked repeatedly to speak to the manager and am told I (Jamal) am the manager. I have asked for their franchise office number but can't seem to get that either. I have been told numerous times the "check is in the mail." Guess I just write this off to shabby business practices and my own naivete because I believe what people tell me.

No dislikes what so ever. We read the reviews before going. We thought the bad reviews came from simple complainers. I am a business owner too so I know all about reviews. Is it a new hotel? No, its going to have some little things wrong. The way everyone wrote as reviews makes people not even to want to go there. The staff was wonderful to us. Maybe you all were rude to them! Beverly from breakfast was such a joy. He ran a good show. Always on top of cleaning, cooking and such a great entertainer. Would I recommend this hotel absolutely. Check it out yourselves, don't let negative rewiews fool you. We did and it was great. People who have the time to be negative always write reviews. People that were happy don't have too because they enjoy llfe. Thanks to all the staff we had a great time.

Location: Good The Room: Dirty The Breakfast: Poor quality food. Ice Machines: Only one worked in the entire hotel Front Desk Staff: Unprofessional & Rude The rudeness we experienced was truly the worst I have ever experienced at a hotel. I have since emailed the GM with no response. There is a definite lack of care for guests at this hotel.

I just spent 3 weeks out west... Nevada, az n los Angeles , all comfort inns! This was the worst one. Did they even clean the rooms daily? Doubtful! The day before I left it was actually cleaned. I stayed 6 nights! The worst comfort inn I have stayed at n the most expensive...... I am a gold card member of comfort inns!! Good thing I only slept there. They put back on the bed a sheet that had blood on it from my kids nose bleed! Wtf!! Not recommended.

Our family was in Mt. Pleasant for a Baptism and our party had 4 rooms in total. My sister ended up in the Bridal/Presidential sweet for the exact same price we paid for our filthy little rooms. My in laws were in the handicapped room and paid the same price as well (it was gross). The carpets are very dirty and there is no AC in the hallways or the elevator. On our second night we found a huge cockroach crawling around in our room, our toilet backed up, and there were cigarette burns in the comforter. When I called the front desk to complain I was told the only thing they could do was come up and spray. I asked for the suite my sister was in (because she was checking out) and I explained that she paid the same exact price as we did and they flat out told me no. They offered to move our room the next day but it had to be after 3pm. No help, no apology, no discount. It is also right next to a very noisy bar and grille, the cops were called to break up a fight or something on their deck at like 2am. This place is gross, you might as well stay at a Motel 8.

We stayed at this hotel for a long weekend. The first night we pulled out the sleeper sofa the sheets and bedding were still on it from the previous guest. Also, after we checked out our daughter mistakenly left her cell phone plugged up and it was stolen by the housekeeper. We had proof of calls that were made but received very little help or support from the housekeeping manager or general manager. If you stay here I do not recommend using the housekeeping and make sure you lock everything up!!

We stayed here for 6 days in an emergency situation. It is in a great location close to the Ilse of Palm and terrific mall area at the doorstep. However, the carpets in the room were dirty and gritty and 2 of the 6 days the bathroom was not cleaned nor did we get fresh towels or cups. The sleeper couch should have been replaced as the matress was falling through the springs. We ended up putting the mattress on the dirty floor and had to ask at least once for bedding as they took it away and did not replace it. The breakfast buffet was excellent, spacious and had a good variety of fresh food.

We booked 2-nights Valentine weekend, but it started snowing and we couldn't make it down. It never snows in SC! The hotel was really inflexible and wouldn't let us get out of the room because we didn't give 24 hours notice. Couldn't even change the dates to another time. Won't book at Comfort Suites again!

I'm a contractor that stayed here for a week breakfast manager was a plus open breakfast ahead of schedule before we had to be to work and as I was coming back in she left it open to 10:00 am for people that didn't make it down in time Rooms were OK but can tell it's time for a face lift I will stay again.
