By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/18/09

Looking Forward to Next Trip!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/11/09
The view of the lake and the mountains from the 3rd floor room was worth the few extra dollars!. The continental breakfast that comes with the room was much better that most. There was a waffle maker(syrup provided), toaster, and microwave, 3 choices of dry cereal, several of instant oatmeal packets, hard boiled eggs, bread, fruit, juices, brewed coffee and tea bags. With the microwave, refrigerator, and the coffee maker in each room, you don't have to worry about eating out at all. You can walk to the lake in about 5-7 minutes, a little longer coming back up hill, and once down on the shore you can walk along the lake. Picnic table are scattered around so you can have an impromptu meal alfresco. I you love desert country like I do, this is a great central point for exploring the countryside of western Nevada. Don't miss Wilson Canyon about a 20 mile drive from the lake on Nevada highway 208. I had a beautiful view of two moonrises while I was there as well sunrise. If you like photography this is a great place to work from. If you like casinos its only about a 5 minute walk to the nearest. I didn't gamble but their restaurant/coffee shop has a beatiful view of the lake. Best of all, you can't hear any of the noise connected with the casino from this hotel. All in all, a very great stay. I plan on returing in October, and I can't wait. JP

We liked this Hotel very much even though it is located (in desert area) far from the city. The hotel is clean, spacious, nice and comfortable. You get nice view of Topaz lake and mountains. We enjoyed our trip to Reno and South Lake Tahoe and stay in Hotels.

Brilliant!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/18/07
When myself and two friends arrived at the hotel, extremely tired and wanting a bed for the night; it turned out the hotel we booked turned out better than expected. As well as having a great location, overlooking Topaz Lake, we were close to the national park and the service was exeptional. The owner (Mr Patel) was very friendly and attended to our needs without hesitation. The room was very spacious and even had a microwave which the holiday inns lacked. The bathroom seemed clean also and included many complimentary items. The last thing to mention is there is washing facilities and also an array of vending machines and an ice despenser as well. Overall i say that this is great value for money and seemed to be essential to our california/nevada vacation.

Hidden treasure of Eastern Sierra
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/08/07
we found this hotel on our way to Yosemite and Death Valley from San Francisco, this hotel was the best on this trip. Its clean quit modern equipped spacious rooms with the view of the lake and mountains is spectacular, even more spectacular is the Sun rise and Sun set. I also had morning walk to the lake, the air just felt so clean and the environment very good. Being European travelers we were surprised to have found this hotel with beautiful setup. That's why its hidden treasure of the Sierra. The entrance to this hotel is little tricky from the highway, but treasures are always hard to find.

Beautiful setting
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/13/05
The rooms are large, new, clean and very comfortable. All rooms face Topaz Lake and the mountains making for beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Good food is available at the casino, about 1000 feet away. Also, the rooms are very quiet The manager and his wife are very nice and helpful. We would definatly stay here again!

Nice Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/11/05
The hotel was very clean and the service good, however the rooms were very cold and it took some time for the heater to kick in and heat the room up.
