From the moment I entered the front door, I had a good feeling. Everything about this hotel was clean and professional. I loved that they left the light in the room on for us, so we didn't have to stumble around in the dark in an unfamiliar room looking for a light switch. And why not leave the light on ... it was a beautiful room to step into! They also had the A/C running low, and after a 90 degree day of travelling, that was certainly welcoming. We really lucked out that there was only one other couple lounging in the pool area, so we had both the pool and hot tub all to ourselves! The pool water seemed a bit cool, but that could be just me. The following morning we had the same front desk clerk, who assured me she had not worked straight through the night! She said she loved her job, but she did get to go home in between shifts. And I honestly believed she really did love her job, she was so professional and friendly. She did an excellent job of keeping the continental breakfast neat, orderly and stocked. The breakfast area was a bit small and could easily have gotten over crowded, although we didn't experience that problem. I loved my stay here so much, I filled out a comment card to that effect, and shortly afterwards, received a Thank You card from the General Manager. My stay was 7/16/05, but it was so enjoyable, I remember it like it was yesterday. (A lady checking out after us had a small dog with her, so I assume that means this is a pet friendly place, too!)
