This is No Resort
Properly classified, this is a 3 star hotel. I've seen it listed as 4 star and as a 5 star. Many list it as a resort. Think of it as a slightly larger and more decorated Fairfield Inn and you've got it! On the plus side, the beds are comfortable, it is in quite location (no trains/highway traffic, etc), parking is included and convenient. On the minus side, each time you walk in, as many as 5 people are called over to say "Welcome Back!" (the bellhop uses a radio to tell the other someone is coming) -- this is the single most obnoxious "feature" I've ever witnessed in a hotel. The bathroom is made with fairly nice mid-grade materials BUT you almost having to be missing your right leg in order to sit on the toilet -- it is placed only about 8" from the wall and on top of that, 2 toilet paper rolls are mounted in the perfectly wrong place to further emphasize this flaw. The AC in the room was noisy -- the "engineer" came and made some adjustment to no avail (the hotel uses an vastly inferior AC "in-room" system that you'd find in any road-side motel... The inside pool is the same size as some hot tubs I've been in and suffers from the same flaw as the outside one -- it is too DEEP for any child under 6 to stand anywhere but the steps (yet another design flaw)... For $69/night or so, I'd stay there -- for anymore, I'd rather stay at a Fairfield Inn or similar than this wannabe resort -- it falls flat on its face and should be avoided.
