Just what the doctor ordered
By Debra, 12/30/08
If you want to slooow down and quieeet down, then MM is the place for you. The decor is low key and almost spartan, but harmoniously designed. Funky motel look trades off a sense of splendid isolation and award-winning view of Mt. Jacinto mountain range. This is a retreat, not a resort. Bring a good book, a bottle of wine and hunker down in the pool.

great R and R
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/02/07
the location must have been a place where the desert nomads stopped to rest prior to descending into the coachella valley. it is a natural geological shelf with the hills behind and the expansive valley in front with a view of the 10k ft san jacinto mountain. the feeling of consistency is all around. it is an aesthetic that is transparent to the experience of the desert, my friend felt it was 'less than visible', at first, until you look a second time. the waters are special in DHS, as well. i travel a lot for business so it was great to not be tempted to watch TV or listen to music. it does have internet if i wanted to stay in contact, but for two days i did not use it. plus it has good pillows. compared to the price of hotels while on the road, i thought this was a bargain.

When can I return???
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/26/07
Miracle Manor is a great place for relaxation, no cell phones, no TV's, no sound other than the wind. Tony is a great manager with architectural side trips to suggest. The water is AMAZING, after 3 days my skin felt like baby skin. They have a great massage therapist that Tony will book for you. It's a cool modestly renovated 50's place with nice bedding and interesting colors. The covered jaccuzzi is 104 degrees the pool 92. GO, I can't wait to go again.

2 days felt like 4
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/16/06
miracle manor retreat is a total aesthetic. so well designed, or should i say un designed, that when asked by friends i described the experience before the place. the water is naturally hot and it smells sweet. it is quiet, and peaceful, overlooks the coachella valley, and mt san jacinto. we plan on returning often.

A precious desert gem...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/09/05
I came to Miracle Manor not really knowing what to expect, so I had no expectations...we got there and Tommy, the manager addressed us by name as soon as we pulled up...our room was gorgeous...beautiful design...everything smells like the wonderful sage soap they sell there...we hopped right into the soothing mineral pool/hot tub and Los Angeles seemed WORLDS away. I am a tough critic, and I had absolutely no complaints! The massage was FANTASTIC, possibly the best I've ever had. Tommy, the manager, was fun, attentive, patient and great. You feel like you are on vacation at home...and twilight/dawn on the deck is simply amazing. I would go every couple of months if I could afford it, to recharge and get that great massage again! I almost hesitate to even say how good it is because it's such a gem...but I want it to stay in business, so, I have to share...enjoy!
