Holiday Inn Express & Suites Seattle Sea-Tac Airport, Seatac

I am not impressed with this place. We stayed here mainly for the park and fly, but I thought with it being a holiday inn, we would have better rooms than the EconLodge where we stayed the last time. There is no difference between this room and the econo lodge, it was small, musty, and the beds were hard and uncomfortable. I actually went out to the van to get my own blanket. By far the worst of it all; the shuttle. It was truly horrible. We arrived downstairs at 5 am and were told very rudely that we weren't allowed to get in the shuttle. I ended up getting the front desk clerk to call us a cab, and they actually paid for it. When we picked up our car after our holiday, I did see several people driving away with mattresses tied to their roof tops, so apparently they changed all of the mattresses. Now if they change the bedding and actually clean the place, it might change for the better.

The hotel looked really nice from the outside and the lobby was very nice. Our room on the other hand was small and musty smelling. The beds were small and uncomfortable. The walls are very thin. They do offer park and fly which is why we stayed there. The shuttle was easy to and from the airport.

They charged me $200 for smoking in my room when nobody had been IN my room for any reason. When I tried to talk to the front desk they acted like they couldn't be bothered and told me there was nobody there to help me. That took several weeks to settle, but they finally did, in my favor. Made another reservation, they charged my card, I had to cancel, and they agred to refund the room charge, which they did, but turned around and charged me AGAIN and told me they had no record of any transactions. I will never again set foot in a Holiday Inn.

Our room had a small enclosed porch due to the building fascia which made the room extra warm. The porch had a window but blocked any view and the ac vented onto it. The shower had a newer head - great! The toilet ran and each time it scalded the person showering. Breakfast was overcrowded on a Sat morning with one waffle maker and four tables. There was one desk person also working the food area and the cleaning staff arrived at 9:30. A small outdoor pool for summer only. Not a good value!

The walls and ceilings are paper thin. You can hear everything next door and above you. Many portions of this new hotel creak when walked on. Very poor construction for a new hotel. If you want quiet, dont stay here. The staff are excellent and very responsive. Too bad the hotels design doesnt meet up to the quality of the help. The same company owns the Fairfied Inn next door. It is built of the same poor quality and is quite noisy.

I loved the food there was good food to eat. i had a great time in the pool and spa. i had a great time

Very clean, excellent service. Room was comfortable with a nice view. Very convinient location; will go back. Wish there were balconies.
