Bonneville Motel, Wendover

Well, from the outside,it is not much to look at.Once inside it is re-modeled quite nicely.It has a very warm cozy feel and the price was just right

This motel isn't very fancy from the outside, but once in the room we found it recently updated with relatively new carpet, paint, and decorations. Everything was very clean, and the beds were firm and comfortable. We made reservations for two adults about three weeks ahead of time, but in the meantime we acquired two more traveling companions. We called the evening of the night we arrived, and the manager agreed to let all four of us stay in the room for the original price -- very accommodating of her. We pushed our luck a bit and asked the night attendant if they had a roll-away -- she said she would look to see if it was in use, and bring it to our room, but it never arrived. The room rates for all the Wendover hotels double or triple during Speed Week at Bonneville Speedway, so check on that event before planning a stay there. Their weekday rate for this motel is very reasonable, and even during Speed Week it was lower than other comparable motels. If you're just looking for a comfortable place to spend the night without a lot of frills, I would recommend this motel. It does have an outdoor pool, but it was closed at the time -- not sure why. It looks like they were in process of adding a second story to the motel, but this didn't interfere with our stay in the least. And if you happen to be hauling an art car or a trailer full of PVC structures, there's easy pull-through parking available for 3 or 4 vehicles.

As i was passing by on my way to Reno, we felt tried so we stop in the little town of Wendover and came along to Bonneville Inn. They had a recent fire, but had some remodeling done to the rooms who did not catch on fire, the rooms were excellent and the bathroom was very clean, the price wasnt at all bad either. Its small but very comfortable the staff are very friendly and make you feel at home.I will recommend this hotel to my friends and family, and Iam looking forward to staying there on our way back home...

This Hotel was rated 3 1/2 stars when we booked. When we got there we thought it was the wrong hotel. Several of the windows were boarded up, there was yellow caution tape across one of the doors, windows broken, cars parked on the back side that were spray painted and what I assume was bullet holes through the wind shields, a toilet outside with a roll of toilet paper sitting on it, and a poor dog tied to a tree with no food or water, and this is just the out side. When we went in the room it smelled of smoke so bad we closed the door and walked to the Family Dollar store and bought a can of Lysol. When we came back we removed the bed coverings that were full of holes and pet hair to find yellow sheets and more pet hair. The light in the bathroom was burned out and there are stains on ALL the walls. The counter top for the sink was falling off the wall and ash dumped on the floors. The door to our room had a large amount of hole putty on it and the dead bolt did not work with our key. The phones don't call to the other rooms and when we found little black curly hairs in the towels, the front office never answered the phones and when we went to talk with them the door was locked and a box left outside to leave the room keys in. And to top this off the room was very expensive

My friends and family stayed at the Bonneville on the 12th of Aug., 06. The conditions were horrible. In my family's room there was pubic hair in the towels, pet hair in the sheets, human hair still in the bath/shower area from the people before us, who knows what splattered on the walls, the counter top for the sink is falling apart and falling off the wall and the carpet was filthy. In our friends room there is a BIG hole in the wall and it was covered up by 2 different kinds of plastic that was screwed to the wall, the wall and the floor don't meet and room reeked of urine. Too top this all off when we went to talk to the management the doors were locked!!! We paid just over $108 for each room.
