Great hotel, all around
I was at the hotel for two nights for a job interview in the city. I stayed in a room on the third floor, facing the freeway.
The hotel is decorated in the boutique style (aka fancy looking), which was pleasing.
The front desk personnel was extremely attentive at all times. Very approachable, nice and helpful. I called down once asking for deodorant (the one thing I forgot to pack), and they promptly sent one up, free of charge. I wasn't even expect they'd have it. Impressive indeed. Wake up calls were also flawless.
The room was astounding. I've traveled quite a bit in the last few years, and stayed in some famous hotels in big cities, but never did I see a room this big and spacious. A nice bathroom area, with fridge and microwave working. The room itself had a small round table with two chairs, a desk and chair, a center table, a 3-seat couch and a king bed, and still had quite a big of walking room. That, together with the extremely high ceiling (which apparently is a specialty on the third floor) made the room look incredibly big and comfortable.
I also heard others saying good things about the breakfast, although I myself didn't have the time to enjoy it, given my business in the city.
The view of the room itself was not the most appealing - the freeway - and there's not much to look at from that specific location. But, in the other hand, I couldn't hear any traffic from the freeway at all while in the room, despite my initial fears. They do a good job insulating the room. Do use the blinds on the window, though, as the street and parking lot lights will lighten up the room quite a bit (and yes, there are blinds, although they may be hard to find).
If I have one bad comment to make, it is when I checked out. With an early plane to catch, I showed up at 3am at the front desk. Asking for an invoice for my stay, I was told by the night person that the computer was currently rebooting, and it'd take about 30 minutes to be back online (minutes I didn't have), and there was nothing he could do. He told me to leave my e-mail, that he'd e-mail to me. But, two days later, I haven't received anything at all, and doubt I will. Furthermore, if there's any extra billings I'm unaware of, I think it'll be hard to complain from a distance.
