Use at Your Own Risk
By Randy, 5/22/12
I normally do not take the time to write reviews. But I had the worst hotel experience of my life at this poor excuse for a hotel. I only rented this room in the first place because I was attending a convention 2 miles away. It is the biggest event of the year in that area. Every room for miles and miles was booked. You will never stay here after reading this long review. Be afraid... be VERY afraid. Moments after I checked into my room, I came back to the front desk and complained.  I was told there was no other room available.  She actually had the nerve to tell me I should be happy to be able to get any room in the area because everything was booked up.  She even made another unbelievable statement telling me that I was lucky to have gotten a room booked with such short notice because the County usually rents those rooms to house the homeless.  That particular weekend, the County did not need as many rooms.I Here is a list of issues:   1.  They put me in a smoking room.  NOTHING in my reservation said anything about that or I would not have booked it.  The DEFAULT ROOM should be non-smoking.   2.  The room looked like a war zone.  It had mold all over the door frame and tile in the bathroom.  Torn wallpaper - not only torn, but ripped off the wall in 8 foot swatches.   3.  The Wi-Fi was not functioning most of the weekend.  I work in the IT business and I think it was overloaded.  It was a Linksys router which is a consumer device which has no place in any business, certainly not a hotel.   4.  The bathtub was filthy and disgusting.   5.  Between the night stand and one of the beds was a 1/2 bottle of vodka apparently left by a previous tenant and "amazingly"missed by housekeeping.   6.  In the top drawer of the furniture with the TV sitting on it were 2 empty bottles of Mike's Hard Lemonade.  Again, these were also missed by housekeeping.   7.  No housekeeping showed up on my 2nd day of the stay.   8.  Filthy carpet and torn up around the bathroom and the entrance door.   9.  Behind the wastebasket in the bathroom was a used, wet, moldy towel. (missed by housekeeping)   You may ask why I did not just move somewhere else. The the biggest convention of the year taking place 2 miles away took up every single hotel room in the entire area. Plus, I had paid a lot of money for that room. So, I was stuck. I live 1600 miles away, do not know anyone and had no choice but to tough it out. I have stayed at Super 8 hotels MANY, MANY times over the years. They are usually very basic, which is fine. But I have NEVER stayed at a filthy Super 8 with anything even resembling the issues I had at this place. They rented me a room which they know was bad. Nobody could walk into that room and spend 5 seconds without seeing it is not fit for occupancy.

Nice room to use with a crack whore!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/10/11
Not much to like. I disliked the dirty floor, leaking toilet, dingy towels, the stained sheets, the 6" pipe hole in the floor, the french fry and box left from the previous patron, the caved in door in front of the water heater, the sorry excuse for breakfast, the lack of Wifi, the burn marked furniture in a non-smoking room and the general lack of attention put in the property. After I checked in and saw the room, I should have returned to the desk and demanded a refund. However, I was very tired and covered in dirt from being at Eldora Speedway all evening and I let things slide. One of the two double beds in the room had clean and non-stained sheets, so I went ahead and stayed instead of driving elsewhere. The morning sunlight did not make things look any better. I suspect that the Best Western that I stopped at first and was full up was much more adequate. Next time I go to Eldora and have trouble finding a room, I will sleep in a port-a-potty before this place. My advice is this, do not stay here unless you are looking for a cheap quick go with an aids infected prostitute.

Horrible Horrible dont stay
By Sunny, 10/22/09
This hotel was dirty beyond belief. The floor was wet and it was carpeting, there was dirt along the edge of the countertop, there was dirt on the sheets and to top it off there wasn't even a fitted sheet on the bed.We do not recomend it to anyone.

Avoid this hotel
By StevenJ, 7/29/08
Not only did this hotel charge my credit card before I even arrived, but they did not stick to the deal that was made on the reservation. The room was unpleasant as well - tattered wallpaper and carpet, scratched furniture, and a damp smell. I will never stay there again, and will tell friends to avoid it.

Stay away!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/19/07
I paid $53.00 and expected to get a clean and comfortable room. Here is what I got: A toasty room when I walked in; a dirty tub with standing dirty water (as no one from the motel could help, I had to scrub it myself); "cold-water-shock" (hot water stops) twice in my morning shower. This motel doesn't give you: facial soap (I had to ask for it at the front desk), clock and hair dryer (as promised in its ad). The lesson I learned here is: go in and check the room first before deciding to stay. I really regreted to have stayed there, and hope you do not make the same mistake.

Try the Holiday Inn across the street
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/11/07
This was by far the worst hotel/motel experience I've ever had. Absolutely filthy. There were large patches of mold growing on the air conditioning unit and on the walls in the bathroom. There were old spider webs hanging from the ceiling in several places and the beds smelled of urine. Avoid this place at all costs. We ended up leaving and staying at the Holiday Inn next door.
