Good location for business
By David, 3/9/10
I was in CC for the first time on business without a clue as to locations but knew I had lots of ground to cover. First, it is relatively close to the airport and one of the first decent hotels away from the airport. Decent food/fare nearby. It's close to the expressway that gets you downtown quickly. It's on the main drag that gets you to all the various locations all across town within a reasonable amount of driving. rooms were clean and well-kept. Got stranded due to snow in Dallas and the staff extended my reservation and supplied me with extra toiletries. The business center (computers and copier) and workout fitness room are not lavish but are better than average for a hotel of this nature. Full breakfast with real food was excellent. I travel a lot (investigations) probably will never be in that city again but recommend the place. david room are not lavish

Good Location, good facilities, would go back
By Steve, 2/17/09
Very nice motel - loved the suite-rooms, so one of us had a place to be if we woke up in the middle of the night - well equipped little kitchenette, which we didn't use - excellent breakfast in lobby - not as close to the water as the map makes it look, but a good location to get to Padre Island, or downtown. Only problem at all was that their Wifi is weak - laptop wouldn't work - but we'd sure go back.

Business basic
By Champ, 5/16/06
The happy hour is not so happy when they cut you off with 3 drinks! Great aquarium and continental breakfast is OK. Maid service saw me leave at 1pm and came and cleaned my room - nice! Basic gym with worn treadmill, bike and stepper. Significant stains on carpet. Developed athlete's foot while barefoot in room. Better bring a network cable as the wireless is sensed but not strong enough to connect to.

soccer weekend
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/5/05
We just stayed there this past weekend (Dec.2-4) with our under 11 boys soccer team. The clerks Albert and Nikki were extremely helpful. At check-in Albert complied with requests to put us close to one another with a smile. Let us know who was yet to arrive, who had called etc. One of us had a broken VCR and he personally came and exchanged it. Nikki was on a vigil to find the Spurs game for us on Saturday night in the lobby and even made phone calls to eventually find out it was not being broadcast in Corpus Christi that evening. The rooms were clean, although beds were not luxurious and the room smelled musty. Toilitries were sparse and low budget but a sign was posted to contact them if any more was needed. Bring your own. Location is good. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. For our needs (kids soccer team) this hotel was perfect. The breakfast offered hot bacon/sausage/ eggs, cereal, oatmeal, bagels, english muffins, toaster french toast, and danish on real plates. Good place for families with kids. I wouldn't think it would be a place to spend my honeymoon or take a guest I would want to impress. The same rate for rooms (group rate $79.00 + tax)though there was a lot of variation. Some were 2 room suites and some one room units were larger than others. Although it was December I checked out the pool outside. The hot tub was hot and flowed over into the pool which was cold, but not freezing. I recommend this hotel for previously noted groups.

Lots of room for a family of 6
By Rose, 8/18/05
This place was great - plenty of room, very nice, and free hot breakfast. The hotel is in a good location, close to restaurants and shopping. The price for a suite w/2 queen beds is normally $110 but the price gets knocked down to $89 if you book for 5 or more nights. The pool is in a perfect location - after 5pm, it is completely in the shade, which is perfect for us because my kids have very fair complexions and I am sick of applying sunscreen all the time :-) They also have 2 computers you can use to catch up on e-mail & such (plus they have free wi-fi if you bring your laptop). The room had a microwave and small fridge, plus a kitchen sink with plenty of counter space and cupboards. There were seven drawers for our clothes, plus a closet for hanging up stuff, so we were able to unpack completely rather than live out of suitcases (which was sooo nice). They have a coin-operated laundry and plenty of vending machines. Oh - I almost forgot to mention that the suite has 2 rooms - bedroom and living room, with a TV in each room (Yah! I hate watching Sponge Bob). There were 3 rather minor things wrong: 1.they kept forgetting to give us enough towels (easy to remedy - front desk always has extra); 2.hot tub was not working (no big deal really, as we are not much into hot-tubbing); 3.the eggs at breakfast were a little on the rubbery side. Other than those 3 minor things, our hotel stay was absolutely perfect and we will definitely be back next year.

Nice Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/9/05
The hotel is very clean and the employees are extremly helpful. The breakfast in the morning was a real treat. They supplied real plates and silverware, and cloth napkins. A nice change from eating off of styrofoam and plastic like other hotels. The only thing that we didn't care for was the fitness center. The Fitness equipment was in need of some serious attention, but overall it was a pleasent stay and we would go back.
