we had a wondful weekend there,espacially when the nice sunlinght shine through the window ,i felt so sleepy and just read a book and have a cup of chinese tea

One of the best places to stay for all reasons. You cannot be disappointed and I know of many repeat visitors. Their rooms and services were nice without being over the top.

It was one of the best hotels the staff was very friendly and helpful. the cleaners always leave with the room ship shape it was AMAZING!!!!!

Ar $550.00 US for a small room it seems that the wireless service advertised should not cost $17.00 US to connect to--per day. Even the laundry service-which one would think would not be costly in China, is out of sight--$8.00 US for a shirt, for example. May be good if on expense account and if there is no concrern in your company for costs.

I LOVED THE CLEANESS AND THE BEAUTY. I ALSO LOVED THE SPA AND THE PEOPLE WORKING THERE ARE JUST NICE AS EVER. I KNOW WHY IT IS RATED THE #1 HOTEL. :)

This is also the nicest hotel I have ever stayed as far as luxury goes. I particularly enjoyed the incredible pool that nobody was usually in and the sauna/jacuzzi room. I also liked sipping on a cup of oolong in the lobby and using the wireless. What I did not like was most of the guests! They were for the most part stuck up snobs that did not understand the fact that they were in fact in China and not their own country! The only criticism I have of the hotel is that there are lots of people trying to scam the guests the moment they walk out the door. Although most China travelers are aware of this, it would be responsible to provide the guests a small sheet warning them of the teahouse and artwork scams, especially before the Olympics.

I like the hotel alot it was nice and pretty and also very clean!!! the room was nice and cozy, and the service was really good. People there were very helpful and everything was just delightful!

My wife and I vacationed in Biejing in October 2006 and stayed at the Grand Hyatt for 7 nights. We loved everything about it. First was the loction...right in the heart of Beijing, shopping and within walking distance of the Forbiden City. The under-ground world below the Hotel is something we never expected. The shopping mall below the hotel was first class with exceptional shopping. Walking a couple blocks and your on Wangfujing Street with a wide varity of shopping choices. The Hotel itself is wonderful. Very clean and very modern Hotel. Everything you would need is available in the Hotel or within a short walk. The Staff were very attentive and anticipated your needs. The resturant on the main lobby level called "Made In China" was by far our favorite place to start our day with a great breakfast...and at night the Peking Duct at "Made In China" was wonderful...just remember to call ahead and reserve your duct for that evening...they go fast. The hotel also has a nice selection of Audi and Mercedes with very friendly drivers. Using the Hotel cars and drivers was a very comfortable and safe way to see the sites, especially to the great wall. Highly recomended! The Room we had was a suite and was huge...a dining area, large living room, kitchen, huge marble bath, master bedroom and a seperate office...what more could you ask for. Finally, three levels below ground is a pool to end all pools. I have never seen such a beautiful indoor pool in my life. Also on the same level is the fitness center and spa...after a full day of climbing the Great Wall at Mutianyu...soaking in the pool and getting a massage was a real treat. I can't wait to return back to Beijing and the Grand Hyatt soon!

This is the most expensive hotel you can imagine. If you think the Ritz compares to this (not that I've ever been to the Ritz) you are very wrong. The swimming pool area is three stories high. Lights reflect off the bottom of the swimming pool onto the ceiling. There is a tropical ambience complete with palm trees, jungle flora, and deserted island objects. There are two hot-tubs and a secret cave beside the pool. A waterfall and rock-shaped walls add to the ddecore. There are two fountains in the pool which you can climb on and passageways leading from the pool to both mens' and womens' changing rooms. In the womens' changing rooms there is a sauna, a steam room, and a hot-tub the size of three regular hot-tubs. I think they had fun making the pool area!
