Comfort Suites Texarkana, Texarkana

I WOULD RATE THE TOWNE PLACE SUITES VERY GOOD FOR THE BUSINESS TRAVLER.I HAVE BEEN HERE FOR FOUR PLUS WEEKS,FOR WORK AT RED RIVER ARMY DEPOT.THE STAFF HAS WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO ASSIST ME.THE ROOMS (AND I HAVE BEEN IN MORE THAN ONE SINCE CHECKING IN)HAVE BEEN CLEAN, THROUGHLY STOCKED,AND QUITE COMFORTABLE.

I read previous reviews and should have listened. I have stayed at Comfort Suites in several other locations and they have all been very nice. This one is the exception. As one of the other reviews said the lobby and exterior looked very nice, but the room was very poor. The first thing I noticed when I walked into the room was about a 14 inch square of carpet cut out in the middle of the floor and the piece placed back over the hole, not even glued. It looked like the piece might have made a trip to the crime lab. You can let your thoughts run wild. The next thing was the tolit bowl, it was yellowed and dirty with a constant leak. There was a moldy smell in the room and just didn't appear clean. I looked at another room but it was about as bad. We stayed that night but not again.

The lobby looked lovely. Do not let that fool you. The room was disguisting. The shower did not work in the room, and the bathtub had mold around the edges. We asked to be moved to another room, but we were not able to move. The bed was lumpy, and the room smelled like mildew. My husband's bath towel was full of hair, and it smelled sour. Never again would I stay here. The only good thing about this hotel was the breakfast. Too bad you had to spend the night to get the breakfast. Travelers beware!!!
