Average but not bad
By ,
Checking in was a nightmare. After a long flight in, Victor at the front desk could not figure out how to find our reservation. He was a complete idiot with no customer service skills !!! He was so unconcerned about the problem and was no help. Off season there are only 2 places to eat on site. Rooms are very nice. Bummer that you can't swim here. Medano beach is small and crowded. Taxi to town is about $10. You can take the resort bus to the sister resort but it only goes once an hour and you have to get a ticket..so the bus fills up. Quotes of the week: "Have you been to the free buffet breakfast senor ?" "Did you check in yesterday ?" OF course in town you get the usual Mexicans trying to sell you stuff all the time anywhere you go. The timeshare presentation isn't too bad. Spend a couple of hours to get some free stuff. Get a couple hundred dollars off your food bill and a free dinner cruise or snorkeling. Amazing how the timeshare they present is only for purchase right then and there. They don't want you to have time to think about it. Throw the payment plans at you and expect you to jump on it right then. Sorry I don't do business that way and it is insulting to pressure their guests into that. But thanks for the free stuff.

Goin back ASAP
By ,
PB Sunset Beach is one of our cherished destinations. LOVE: the excellence of the property, flowers EVERYWHERE incredibly kind staff (uniquely so), and the personal attention. The food is off the CHAIN. The pools are diverse and relaxing. It is UNIQUE: 1) It's a very large property... not boutique. That means a lot of diverse activities and experiences and a high level of excellence. 2) You can't swim in the ocean... too dangerous. Yet, I'm more into the majestic symphony of waves crashing, punishing the sand than swimming in it. It's a bit more relaxing. If I'm in the mood for a swim, I hit the shuttle to PB Rose. 3) It's not cheap. I usually have a certain budget for taking advantage of the irenic spa and scrumptous foods. Yet, if you want to go inexpensively, purchase food at the grocery in town and you can eat out of your room from the 1/2 kitchen... makes it very affordable. love this place and going back ASAP.

GREAT Place - But it's not for everyone
By ,
We love this place. It's about as fancy as I'd want to stay in that it's comfortable in nearly any attire, nearly anywhere, yet luxurious enough to feel like we're somewhere special. As for location, you'll read that it's suboptimal. I know what they mean--it's a ways from town. However, if my alternative is NASTY Medano Beach, home to the Playboy Channel Spring Break Stage, I'll get the Pacific Side any day. Yes, the place is about 2-3 miles out of Cabo. Have you noticed how much of a pit downtown Cabo is? Yeah -- we're away from that! All three restaurants are GREAT. The pool food and service is GREAT. And when you get bored, take the FREE bus into town and check out that Spring Break scene--and then get back to your restful resort. I'd like to swim in the ocean there, but there are 5-6 pools to make up for it. And the whale watching from EVERY room, and EVERY restaurant and most pools is really fun. And the parade of fishing boats is fun too. Most rooms have a kitchen or kitchenette, so you don't have to eat out every meal. That's nice. The bathrooms are big and luxurious. I'm thinking of travertine for my home bath now... Enjoy!

OK...not great
By ,
Very nice room and facilities. VERY inconvenient to town. Very isolated. VERY expensive compared to Mazatlan, on a par with PV. Built on a hill with very long steep stairs up and down the property, or wait for a golf cart to carry you up and down. Staff generally friendly, but our waiter the first night was rude and inattentive at the bar restaurant. Make sure you stay at a resort near the cove...not on the ocean front. They don't tell you in advance, but you cannot go into the ocean here!! Pools, however, are great! I go to Mexico a lot, but will NOT return to this resort. Overall....3.5 and that's being generous!

BEDFORD96 AT YAHOO DOT COM
By ,
i love this place, i go every year, sometimes twice. also, it is very safe, the locals keep the tourists safe, it is their source of a very good living for them. The sunset has a bus that take you to the rose which is just a short walk from downtown, so a car is optional. The arch is so awesome. the watersports are so cheap $50 for an hour of waverunning...unheard of at other vacation resort areas. i know of a 2 bedroom penthouse available for christmas if anyone is interested, drop me an email. Again.this place is #1 in my list of vacation spots and just a quick flight from cali.

We Love it when you get by certain things
By ,
It is a timeshare place and they don't give you hardly anything to make it worth your while to listen. Get past that. They also, as do all the resorts, add some kind of samll fee for a charity of their choice. I have my own charities at home I don't need to have another one added to my bill. I assume no one catches it. Get pas that. Then if you are sharing a room, they don't get the bills straight. Get past that and have a great vacation, beautiful place, great exercise walking, walking and walking, oh ya you can take a cart, but enjoy the view, the air and the exercise. Oh love the whales, saw them everyday. Love the food by the pool. Acitivity people weren't the friendliest, but we got past that too:)

Unsanitary. We will not come back!
By ,
I was ordering an alcoholic liquor by the pool. I noticed that this guy who is not very attentive to his customer ( who is just me at that time) as he continous to chat with a female co worker while serving me. I noticed that there were bugs (perhaps bees) floating inside the bottle of the liquor he is serving me. I pointed it out to him after he gave me my drink and I asked what are those bugs doing in that bottle and why are you still serving it to me? He dispelled my remarks and acted as if it is nothing and ignored me and my concern. I should have complained but we were still staying there for a few days and did not want to cause any issues on a foreign place so I decided to wait but it was forgotten. What is not forgotten is that we will not come back to this place and I am not referring this place to anybody to my friends and people I know.

So relaxing, and close to shopping too
By ,
We like Peblo Bonito Blanco. It is on the beach, and you have views from almost every room. It's so relaxing, and enjoyable. If you want to party & get crazy, like kids do, then this is not the place for you. It is close to town, so you don't need to take a cab. You can walk to Cafe Royale, in town for breakfast, which we do every year!

Not very user friendly
By ,
My wife and I visited during December of 2008. We paid for a two week stay and because of scheduling conflict, they only gave us 10 days. The suite we requested was supposed to be a handicap suite. They did however gave us a Presidential suite for 4 days. This would have been fine if not for the fact that my wife has MS and is in a wheelchair. We adapted to that suite pretty well because of its size. However, after the 4 days we were put into what was supposed to be a handicapped suite. The room was too tight for my wife to move around in; and when we asked for the bathroom door to be removed( because the door opened in toward the toilet thereby blocking the toilet), the personnel acted as though they did not understand the situation and were rather perturbed about our request. With a resort as large and expensive as this, I'm surprised that they did not take the time to thoroughly investigate the layout of handicap rooms when they built the place. Just put someone in a wheelchair and try to maneuver from the bed area into the bathroom and out into the kitchen area. Or better still, my wife and I would be glad to come back and show you the difficulty of moving around in the suite let alone the grounds. I know you couldn't have changed the terrain but this resort is much too steep for someone who is mobility challenged. I also found the front desk personnel a bit cold and snobbish when making requests. I know that the majority of your guests aren't physically challenged, but would it hurt to truly set up your handicap suites so that the handicapped can enjoy them?

By ,
Beautiful place.the landscape was beautiful with swans and peacocks diffrent pools and golf carts to take you up and down where ever you wanted and the wervice was very freindly. Scince swimming at the beach is dangerous they had a free shuttle to take you to there other resort where you coud use there pool and beach where all the fun is seadoos, water taxis, glass bottom boats banana boat rides etc and walking distance to town. The rooms were very very big and clean. And the deli made great sandwiches. the poolat the top of the resort had a wonderful view. No dought a beautiful place to go. Just dont go in august to hot and and humid unless u like that.
