University Inn, Lexington

We had a handicap room reserved for all the home football games and when we arrived with our handicap son, University Inn did not honor the reservation that they made with us. They have a 2 night minimun stay for football and if you want to cancel, you must give them 3 days notice. BUT they can and DID NOT HONOR our reservations- We will never stay there again and BEWARE that they are not an honorable establishment!!

We usually stay here when coming to visit our son in school. It's great if you're going to a football game and it's close to shopping and resturants. The rooms are clean and spacious and the staff is friendly. The only negative I've ever experienced is that the smoke smell is very strong in the hallway and stairwell on the upper floors.

This is a very clean, comfortable place to stay. Staff is friendly and helpful. We always have gotten exceptional service there. We have been going to the UK hospital for the past few years and have never been disappointed staying there. Cont. breakfast served. No pool or hot tub, but that means less noise. Close to the hospital and if your going to a UK football game they get into it with a tailgate party for the guests, too.

I have stayed at this motel several times, through college and season football tickets and have had an incredible experience here. Can't beat the location, within walking distance to UK and Commonwealth Stadium which makes tailgating much easier. Clean and very nice staff. Wonderful rooms, great smell even the smoking rooms smell good. The only drawback is that the rates do increase for a busy weekend ex. UK football, UK basketball, Keeneland, and concerts. But if you want to stay in a nice place this is the place for you. Will definately stay again. GO CATS !

My husband and I stay at the University Inn whenever we are in Lex. My husband is a veteran and it is so handy- just across the road from V.A. The staff is great and very nice and helpful. The rooms are very clean. The complimentary breakfast is also nice!

My husband was very ill and I stayed at the Inn for 7 weeks. Very clean, staff very helpful, and nice. I have stayed at other hotels and this is the nicest. I would compare this to a suite that was $200.00 a night. I would stay at the Inn again and again.

I recently had a family member who had to have surgery at UK and we found the rooms to be clean and comfortable. The only problem was the hallway that reaked of cigarette smoke. However, the nonsmoking room was fine.

I liked the clean sheets on the bed. Did not like the price for a real small room. We were put in a seperate building. Breakfast was a joke. Almost nothing, a few bagles, and a few danishes. Watered down orange juice. Very hard to get out of parking lot, by a real busy street.

A few months back, my family and I ventured to Lexington, KY due to my health problems and me having an appointment at the Markey Cancer Research Center. The University Inn staff was very nice and helpful. The Inn is near the Fayette Mall and close to several affordable restaurants. This trip, in general, wasn't being looked forward to because of the health situation I was in, but the stay at the University Inn made it a pleasant one. I plan on making another health-related trip this upcoming week to Lexington and plan on staying at the University Inn, once again.

There are so many good things about this Inn. It was VERY clean and the location (across from UK and Chandler Medical Center) can not be beat. You are close to downtown but not far away from Fayette Mall and other shops. The staff were VERY friendly and the rates were more than fair. They also have free WIFI and that was a major plus. With the exception of a strong smell of smoke OUTSIDE the room in the hallway I could not say a negative thing about the Inn. I had a non-smoking room and there was not a trace of odor in it, just the hallway. Clean and friendly. I will stay here again! Todd
