18 dollar valet parking required
By Rico, 12/10/09
Service great and lovely rooms. The only thing wrong is the $18 dollar valet parking and $10 wi-fi charge daily.

Unless you need to stay downtown, don't stay here.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/26/07
Pros: nice, clean, and roomy with great breakfast Cons: As another reviewer stated, this hotel is in noisy downtown, where an ambulance blares by on Saturday evening three times and a car alarm goes off 3 times. Your car is parked in a parking garage, which is now $16, not $12 as stated online when I booked, and this is very inconvenient as I forget something in the car and didn't want to inconvenience the valet to get it. We also got lost going to the hotel and ended up in a very bad neighborhood.

Valet Disaster
By audrey, 7/20/07
This hotel only has valet service for parking. When the valet parked my car he slammed it in park so hard and fast without letting my car properly stop that it locked my ignition, shifter and steering column. I was there for a weekend with a wedding party that I was part of so I was obligated to be there. I live over an hour away but needed to go home to check on my children (I'm a single parent). My youngest has asthma and had bronchitis and just broke her toe. When I went to the valet to get my car they said that they could not get it to start but not to worry because it didn't look like anyone tried to steal it. After waiting over 7 hours for them to try and get my car going and the manager belittling me, and talking down to me of course as he was bragging to me of his Mercades that he just got. I told them I just needed to get home to check on my child could they get me a rental car or something seeing that I needed to come back for the remainder of the weekend. The manager told me no because it was not there fault that my car locked up even though they were that last ones in my car and it had never done that before. After agruing with him for hours he finally offered me a 1 way taxi ride (that would cost them $300 and a rental would cost $20) home. I asked him how would I get back to get my car?? He said that would be my problem and that was all he would do for me. The valet gentleman I need to say really did try to help they first offered a ride home and back as they apoligized and said they understand that I needed to check on my child, but the hotel manage told them no. We tried to get a tow truck to tow my car to my mechanic but seeing that it was parked on the 7th floor of the structure none of the tow trucks would fit, and because when they parked it my steering column was turned upside down and my tires turned out we could not even try to push it. I have vacationed at many different hotels across the country and I have to say that this has been my worst experience ever. I am a manager in customer service and would never treat my customers this way. I would at least try to help them and not belittle them as I brag of my vehicle, especially when there is a problem with thier vehicle that was caused by my employee. I strongly urge that you avoid this hotel if at all possible seeing that you never know what could happen to your vehicle and how you will be treated by the management staff.

Disturbing lack of quality
By TJ, 4/5/07
In the past, Embassy was always an excellent choice. During my last stay at the Downtown Orlando Embassy, the quality of the experience had severely degraded. The quality of the free drinks was below rating. The manager must be saving by purchasing the cheapest alcohol available. In short, all drinks that I tried were HORRIBLE! The cleanliness of the room was also suspect. My wife was horrified when she caught the house cleaning staff rinsing out the used glasses and cups in the bathroom sink!!! During our one week stay, the room was never vacumed and the counters and coffee tables were never cleaned. The cost of the room has been jacked up to the $200 level if you arrive with a car ($12 per day parking). Our room was on a busy street and was VERY NOISY! Not a good value!

We will definitely go back when visiting downtown Orlando
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/14/06
We were in Orlando for The Capital One Bowl and this hotel was ideally located. We walked a few blocks and took a free shuttle to the stadium. The hotel was well maintained, the staff was friendly and helpful, the cooked-to-order breakfast was excellent and with its proximity to Lake Eola you could enjoy a jog or stroll around its banks.
