Well, the location was good

I have to admit that this hotel was in a great location, easy to get on and off the interstate, and within walking distance of a few stores and restaurants, and just a couple minutes drive from many others. The problem is, I would have had a better visit if I'd pitched a tent in the parking lot. The room had a slightly odd odor to it, and showed it's age with puckering wallpaper and just a general sense of aging, but the great location made it easy to go to Target and get an air freshener to mask the smell.
Unfortunately, that was the high point. Despite high ceilings, the first floor room I was in let in noise from at least a couple rooms above it, as well as the adjact rooms on the floor, plus it was right next to the breakfast area, so come 6am I got to hear the cooler running and people talking over coffee. The WORST part though, was that an alarm clock went off around 4am, in what I am guessing was a vacant room, as it went off for about an hour until it finally shut itself off. When I left I wasn't even asked about my stay, so perhaps they heard my complaints through the wall, since I seemed to be able to hear everything else that way. Not a place I would stay again unless my car was broken down, they had the last available room, and I didn't have a tent.
