definitely not recommended
recently spent tweo nights at towneplace suites in newark and would not return there. in second building, indoor hallways had been painted recently, yet there was a strange odor lingering. the odor was not of paint or any type of cleaning supply.
also, this was the first time i stayed in a "suite" that only had a 13" tv. also, the buttons on the tv did not work.
the main reason i will not return happened on my final night. My room was in building 2, across the parking lot from building 1 and the swimming pool. 3-4 teenagers were in the pool at 10:45pm yelling and screaming. loud enough to be heard across the parking lot, 3 stories up. yet apparently not loud enough to be heard by the night clerk who was no more than 15' away. it took myself and 3 others complaining for anything to be done about it.
last problem was the fax machine that was "broken" when i checked in on monday and still out of service on wednesday.
avoid towneplace suites in newark as it provides no where near the service you would expect from a marriott property
