had tons of fun. beautiful resort! very friendly people. lots of things to do even at the resort. could have just stayed at the resort the whole time. the hotel workers we fantastic they were very friendly and always made every night alot of fun. you were never hungry or thirsty because you were surronded by food and drinks at all times.

Went in April 2007 with kids. Had a fabulous time. Fantastic beach and pool. Lots to entertain everyone and food was great (even if a little bland) typical of Cuba. Many restaurants and the staff were fantastic. We always tip so maybe that helps with the service. Take make up and lotions, panty hose and childrens toys to tip with. Clean out your closets at home and leave your gently used clothes for the maids and gardeners. They love it. Would go back to this resort in a flash. Loved it.

Stunning property. Amazing beach, great beach attendants, lovely pools. Take mosquito repellent! Beautiful grounds - don't forget the gardeners as well as the maids if you're taking gifts. Excellent selection of food and fresh juice and good friendly service. Quality of food is fairly typical for Cuba. Rooms spacious - beds uncomfortable. Complaints - Bars not stingy with alcohol, but often no limes and no mint (a disappointment for a country known for its Mojito). I believing in tipping, even at an all-inclusive, but the expectation at this resort with some staff in particular was overly obvious & sometimes disturbing. "Reservations" at the fish grill meant an advance tip to cooks = no standing in line with other people waiting.

My wife and I were at the Paradisus for 2 weeks in February, 2007. It is probably the nicest Caribbean hotel we have stayed in. The exterior architecture is stunningly beautiful - low rise, 2 story buildings, reflecting pools with fish and vegetation, and one of the widest beaches we have been on, with fine white sand. You can walk into the ocean quite a long distance. There are 2 swimming pools, one of which is particularly large and beautiful. The hotel has 6 restaurants, and the food, while not gourmet, was generally excellent, fresh, and with a wide variety. Our one complaint concerning food: the steak was very tough. Definitely not Alberta beef. However, there was so much else to enjoy, this was not an issue. Lots of sports facilities, and golf not far away. We visited Sandals, 2 hotels down the beach. The Paradisus buildings and grounds are far superior. Our room at the Paradisus was quite adequate. Needed a bit of paint here and there, but we were not there to worry about the paint. The bed was overly firm, but that is only our personal preference. The hotel staff were always charming, friending and courteous, and the grounds were immaculate - a constant army of gardners hard at work all day keeping the place in lovely shape. When you go to Cuba, remember to take small gifts for all those at the hotel who help you so well. Gifts such as: toothbrushes, soap, toothpaste, razor blades, shampoo etc. etc. These will be greatly appreciated. Because Americans are not allowed to go to Cuba (at least directly) the place does not seem overwhelmed with tourists. There was always lots of elbow room on the beach, and the beach attendants would find you reclining chairs and cushions to use. We will definitely return.

In october 2005 me and my now wife decided that we would tie the knot and decided that cuba would be the most romantic place to do so.Seeing as that we had never been abroad we were a little unsure even scared that was untill we reached the paradises it could not have been any more perfect the staff were the friendliest and most accomadating people we could have dreamed for and the only thing i can say about the resort is perfect!!!We will definetly be back!!If you happen to get married there you will find the wedding will always be a treasured memory and Laura the weddind co-ordinater deliteful.

We loved our stay at Paradisus Varadero- the service was phenomenal, the rooms were extremely comfortable, and the staff was very friendly! The evening shows were very entertaining, and the beach was undescribable!

No words can describe this luxurious hotel, situated on Varadero's finest beaches. The service was great, the beaches were cystal clear, and the family loved it. I can't wait to go back!

I went to paradisus varadero for 3 weeks on march 2006. It was probly the best holiday I had ever been on as the sun was always shining,the people were great and there was always something to do. Before I went I heard that the food wasnt that great so when I got there i wasnt expecting superb meals. For the first couple of nights I ate at the Ara and then discovered the a'la carte restaurants.I started eating at different ones every night and my opinion is that the French restaurant "Romantica" and the Italian were the leading ones. The service was exellent if you were prepared to give out a few tips, but I suppose what else are you goin to do with your money it is all inclusive after all. After experiencing a brilliant holiday my family and I have planned to go again next year, and I strongly recommend that who ever is planning on goin should.
