Worst in the area for weddings

The hotel is the only hotel that I am aware of in Warren that requires you to sign a contract to book a block of rooms for a wedding party. Even the Holiday Inn Express in Austintown does not require such a written agreement. The contract states that if anyone in your wedding party or anyone deemed by the staff as associated with your wedding party is seen or thought to have damaged any part of the hotel (outside of their room), the bridal party will be charged. If there is too much noise that night, the bridal party is charged.
You must put down a $500 deposit on your credit card if you book the wedding block. I was told that if I was not willing to do this, then they did not want our business. The manager Jennifer also stated that if I cannot vouch for the people invited by signing a contract and willing to pay for damages then why should they take the risk.
I went in there personally to talk with her about her contract and she was unprofessional and I felt questioned the character of my family and friends. I also cannot say I know everyone who is attending the wedding when I invite a single family member or friend along with a "guest." My fiance and I have enough responsibility in planning a wedding, let alone assuming the hotel's risk for anything wrong occuring. It is the hotel's business to enforce their rules, not mine.
Management has had an instance in the past where a wedding party damaged their hotel. This is unfortunate for them. But basically I get the impression they don't want wedding parties there anymore. Don't waste your time with them folks.
