Skip the restaurant
By andrew, 1/9/12
Just had lunch following a meeting. The grilled chicken was burnt and not much bigger than a couple white castle burgers next to each other, and just as thin. The wait staff left something to be desired, as we were a table of 14 when the entire establishment had 22 guests (yes I counted them). Couldn't get a refill on a water and I felt like we were being rushed out of there. $9.50 for a small, burned sandwich and fries. No, I won't be back. Nashville has gotten too expensive.

Unclean No hot water They avoid trying to resolve any of the problems. Two days without hot water was unacceptable.

Nice Ambience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/5/09
I love to eat in the restaurant that is below the inn. It has great ambience and the food is usually very good. The inn itself is on the main street going through Nashville, so you are right in the middle of everything. For some that is a good thing. They usually will only rent for two days at a time, which is disappointing (and expensive) for those who just want to come in for a day. Overall the inn is very inviting.

Bed??? I don't think so.
By Gabrielle, 9/3/08
Nashville is always a nice place to visit as are the Artists Colony Shops. The food is good although better can be had a short walking distance away. Parking is fairly convenient. The bed was atrocious!! It was bowed toward the middle. It had NO box springs. I slept in better beds in the Marines 40+ years ago and have never slept in any bed worse. For a 3 figure overnight accomodation, it was definitely not worth the very pleasant ambience. I would have slept in an alley with a good bed instead. We mentioned it when we checked out but were not offered any compensation or reduction of the price of the room. Both my wife and I hobbled around that day and into the next as a result of the bed. Very disappointed.

Very Relaxing Enjoyable Getaway
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/24/08
We spent our 22nd Anniv there and had a wonderful weekend. Clean quite room, comfortable bed and the staff was so pleasant. Food was wonderful and reasonable & all shops were within walking distance. We highly recommend booking your reservations at this place.

The Ghosts of Artists Past !!
By Jim, 8/19/06
When we arrived in Nashville,IN we found in the very center of town and within walking distance of lot's of things to do and see was The Artists Colony Inn. This is a very quaint old fashion hotel and B n B.We had to walk up and down several flights of stairs, No fitness center needed, we just used the "Artists Colony "Stair Master"! The suite we stayed in was named after someone who was probably long gone but both me and my companion heard steps coming from upstairs, but seeing as we were on the top floor, we guessed that the squirrels around here wore Doc Marten's or the ghost of a late artist was up there checking us out.

Brown County Boutique Hotel & Eatery
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/25/06
Food is great! Location is great...right in the heart of Little Nashville. You can walk to all shops and most shows. The staff was very helpful and the rooms have real furniture and real art on the walls.
